Has Romo played a good Dfense other than Giants yet?

It seems to me that everyone is going gaga over The franchise saviour (I must admit I feel a bit of man love myself sometimes), but has he played a decent defense yet? Well? Has he?:star:

Carolina brings pressure, which we quelled quite well, so their pass defense benefits from quicker throws, can play tighter.

I say they are good.

Julius Peppers still leads the league in sacks. I wouldn't call that sub-par defense.

Indy was ranked as the #2 PASS Defense when Romo skewered them for 19 of 23 (82.6%) for 226 yards !!

(Indy is now ranked #3 in Pass D)

don't get ahead of yourself. he also threw a pick and shouldve had another one.

Indy actually played one of their better games against Dallas in a losing effort.

Yes, well MR. All World himself was 20 of 39 (51%) and TWO Picks against our 'lesser' 11th ranked Pass D... so I would say Romo's throwing exhibition v. a 'better' Pass D compared to Peyton Manning was pretty damn good...

and I'll take that deep bomb pick that left Indy at their 10 yard line, vs. Bledsoe throwing picks that cost us games ANYDAY!

I never got the impression that the Indy Dfense was really solid and the Carolina D was pretty beatup by the time we came to town if I remember correctly.

Actually, all he did is quote the stats. He didn't get into hypotheticals ("should've") like you did. Maybe he "should've" had a few more completions that were dropped....

Well, he should have had a 60 yrd TD pass to Owens and been 5-0 as a starter, but we don't get to count that one.

Terry Glenn was seriously held on that pick - no doubt. I will never buy the should have on that one!

The praise being sung toward Peppers and Jenkins was enormous and the corners Lucas and Gamble were supposedly the top flight tandem in the league, Romo scorched them all.

Me either, that play probably goes incomplete or Glenn catches it if he wasn't held.

How would you describe the Giants D?

Vaguely, but our defense used to drop so many of those I am used to that.

More importantly, the rest of the games on the schedule are worse pass defenses than most he has already faced!

The schedule gods have been very friendly.
Things have been relatively easy so far (opponents: W53 -L69) and are getting easier as we go. Playoffs should be an automatic.

I hate to say this but you might be on to something and hope that we both are wrong.

Carolina's D is not consistent, they show up one Sunday and disappear the next. Even Jason Campbell of the redStinks beat them. Indy's D was so focused on stopping the rund they gave Romo some space to play with, and even with that he didn't have a TD and had an INT (maybe he didn't need to).

The thing is, though, the Giants D is not better that those of the other teams mentioned. I think he will disect them and pick them apart and lead the boys to a victory.
