Has Romo really been bad this year? *LONG*

The Packers went 15-1 with no running game and a secondary that gave up the most passing yards in NFL history. The Saints were really good two years ago with an atrocious defense. The Giants had the worst pass defense in the NFL and one of the worst running games the last time they won the Super Bowl.

Ok, what did those teams do in the post season, because you know the regular season and post season are completely different, right? The Giants "worst pass defense in the NFL" held the highest scoring offense in NFL history to only 17 points in the Super Bowl, holy smokes did that just come out of my mouth?! Seems like that "worst pass defense" stepped it up big, wouldn't you say?

As for the Saints, their passing defense wasn't as bad as ours, and they also stepped up in the Super Bowl. The New Orlean Saints defense had just as many points as Peyton Manning did in that super bowl, seems like they elevated their play to me.

Green Bay had a defense that caused turnovers and created points. During the Super Bowl they had an interception for a TD, and guess what the difference in score was? 6 measly points, seems like their defense came through huge to me.

Our offense and Romo were only really good in the Broncos game. I'll give you that one. We should have won. But that was one game where Romo put up amazing numbers and still lost. That's your only argument. Outside of the Broncos game, Romo is not having a good season. I don't care about his stats. Have you watched the games?

You claim Romo hasn't had a good game other then Denver, what the hell kinda metric are you using? Like do you only consider it a "good game" only when the QB throws for 5tds and 500 yards? Romo has really only had 2-3 "bad" games(and I that loosely), yet you're saying he's had 9? You're clueless dude, what about the Rams game? Lol, have YOU watched any games? Geeeeeez.

I'm not saying those teams didn't elevate their play to win a Super Bowl. I'm saying those teams were able to win lots of regular season games (15 for the Packers) in order to get to the postseason. Romo hasn't even been able to get this team to the postseason the past few years. Peyton hasn't been 8-8 since his rookie year. He had some horrible teams early in his career and he still won 12 games.

Sean Lee is a major part of the problem. As excellent as he is, he's had games where he's been awful against the pass. And he's proven once again that he can't stay on the field. We shouldn't have given a massive contract to someone who can't stay healthy.

Wow, I think I've had enough tonight trying to understand your thought process on this. Sean Lee is one of the few bright spots on D that we have, just how Romo is the same for our O. They both have their flaws, but the pros by far outweigh the cons. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree, lol. Well G'night, I'm getting tired! :D

League-wide defensive player of the month...and he's a major part of the problem. Dude your brain is scrambled.

Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees have had to compensate for their team's flaws and have still won. If they played on teams like Seattle/San Fran/Kansas City they would have more than just one Super Bowl each. My point is, Romo is good enough to win with a great team (Seattle/SF/KC) but not good enough to propel a bad team (Rodgers, Brees).

I dont think anyone here is saying Romo is Rodgers or Brees.

He's had one good game against a better team, one good game against scrubs, and then he's been sub par barely putting up points for many games...
