Has the board come to a consensus on Joseph Randle?

Have we seen enough to know that he's not going to be a difference maker? The reason I ask is there are several posters in the Draft Zone ready to draft another running back this year. That would make 5 running backs drafted since '08...seems like a lot of resources on that position.

I don't think weve seen enough.

But

His and dunbars presence shouldn't stop you from drafting a rb.

IMO.

Prepare for the worst in Murray getting hurt and leaving next year or just playing next year and not resigning/team not willing to give him a contract. You have to be prepared to move on from Murray since the team does not seem interested in committing to him yet after next season. I would not be upset spending another pick 4th round or later on a RB and the last couple of drafts have proven that solid RBs can be found in the later rounds. Randle looks undersized, but say he is capable of being a productive NFL RB, another body to compete with him and push him for his spot will only help him develop. Tanner is not that guy as he has proven he is nothing more than a suitable ST player which the roster certainly needs.

He's just okay. Not a long term answer. Zac Stacy would've been. But hindsight is 20/20

RB is one of the few positions you expect to come in and contribute from day one, and he showed nothing. He's not as fast as you'd like for a back as slender as he is. On top of that, he failed to produce in the same offense that Murray and Dunbar (when healthy) thrived in.

The good news is they only have a 5th round pick invested in him so if he fails to make the final 53 next year it's not a huge loss. Most 5th round picks don't pan out.

LOL @ 54 carries in a rookie season being enough to judge he's a career backup at best. Don't quit your day jobs, people... you sure as hell wouldn't be a decent scout.

I have come to the conclusion on Jason Garrett and he is an idiot,i dont trust him to use any offensive player properly let alone rookies.I acutally like Randle and he showed me enough to be optimistic next year.

out of those 54 carries, he still should have "flashed" on a handful of those carries, but I can't remember being wowed by him once all season.

Yep. I liked him in college but it looks like he's just too slow at this level.

........yup, running back instincts show up quickly, just don't see the wiggle, the natural cut to a hole with him
