Simple question.. What do you think? I'm not asking if he's going to be worth his salary, I'm asking if he's been worth his salary so far?

Yes...for the sole reason that it's nigh impossible to find quality quarterbacks.

I think so. If Brad Johnson had started every game for the last two seasons Jerry would have had to cancel the new stadium.

Or Det would have the #1 and #2 picks in the draft :D

Yes he has. It's not like Tony signed a monsterous contract.

I wonder what the cap hit will be if we need to trade him next season, Adam?

From where I sit, absolutely. How anyone can look at where we were without him last year and not see how vital a healthy Tony Romo is to this team is to have your head in the sand.

Yes, without a doubt he has been worth every penny.

We would be lucky to win 5 games a year without Romo.

Why will we "need to trade" Romo next year???

Who is going to be the starter then, Kitna or a rookie???

Say hello to 5-11 seasons again.:(

If I was an owner spending that much money, I would expect at least 1 playoff win. Since so many of you now have lowered your expectations of this team to rationilize your love of romo so you can say "See, I told you he was a good qb" that thinking he is worth his contract is ludicrious.

The notion is to see how good this team would be without him is too 1 sided. Brad Johnson was 40, how many 40 year old qb's play at a high level. Many forget Brad was a really good qb when he was younger. Whose to say if Dallas put a young qb back there that it would be any different then how it is with romo? The answer is there is no way to know, and just because you say it would be different doesnt mean that it would be.

Expect his int total to increase and his td total to decrease without Owens drawing coverage away from everyone else. Its a shame Jerry's previous mistakes at qb blinded him to think he had something with romo so he jumped the gun to give him all the money without proving anything. romo has had his stats with Owens, now that he is gone, romo wont have that to rely on and since his stats will probably suffer, and if there is no playoffs next year then it is time to find a new qb.

And anyone who says "you dont know what your talking about or thats so stupid" because you dont want to open your mind up to realize that just because you think he is good, that doesnt mean that he is. When this team finds a qb who wont choke when the pressure is on, I hope you all who claim to say romo is so good dont hurt yourselves jumping off his bandwagon, or continue to ride on his bandwagon while it jumps a cliff going down in flames.

not this again lol...

Romo's been worth it...if it wasn't for the accidental fluke of finding Romo we would be a much worse team right now.

Does he take us to the next level? We will see if he can have a good season this year.

And where are we going to "find a QB" that is acceptable to your standards???

We went through 17 starting QBs between probowler Aikman and probowler Romo.

17 freaking QBs!!!!!!!

Now you want to ditch a probowl QB if we dont make the playoffs next year and replace him with "somebody".

How do you know that it will not be another 17 starting QBs between probowler Romo and probowler TBA???

Answer is you dont know how many QBs we will have to go through after Romo before we find another probowler. YOU ARE JUST GUESSING.

Well dont "guess" with my franchise, when you have another probowler lined up and ready to go, then I will entertain the idea of replacing Romo. However, dont come to me with "we need to ditch our probowl QB and replace him with anybody".

Man just think if turning over the ball and folding when the team is on the brink of the playoffs was a perk in his contract he would be THE RICHEST Quarterback ever to play in the NFL.

SO Romo is a choker...lets see...

In the playoff game against Seattle... the Seahawks are scoring with every opportunity late in the game...Dallas finds itself behind due to poor defense and even poorer play calling...In comes Romo who not only moves the team down into scoring range but had to be Houdini to do it... but because of the mark and that the offense kept putting him in longer and longer yardage with stupid penalties... they have to attempt a field goal...well Romo the QB did his job now comes special teams lets see why do you think that there aren't more teams using their starting QB as holders on FG's... could be Adrenalin?
plus a slick ball...but it doesn't matter it goes through his fingers and he still might have made the first down had the kicker blocked somebody...but lets blame Romo...as if it wasn't for him willing us down field that day we would have had no chance anyway to win that game...

Should we go to the giants game and how that same defense just let the giants march right down the field before the half... or perhaps it was Romo's fault that he hit Crayton right in the hands and he dropped it... or that Crayton gave up on his route or the offensive penalties that kept putting Dallas in long yardage that Tony kept getting us out of...

You are blaming the QB because he what... threw an int? fumbled? well my God man he was the only one to show up and play he was having to make chicken salad out of chicken poo all day... it was bound to happen he was carry the team the whole year...go back watch the tape...He does things no other QB can... watch that same Oline with Deadslow back behind center and than watch it with Tony it is still as bad but Tony just makes plays...

Comments like that show how sad it is for people to go as far as they do to defend their little womo. Thats all it is, excuses. Do you want to wipe his nose for him to when he has the sniffles. The talented team he is surrounded by carries him, and when they struggle its pretty obvious he cant carry the load on his little shoulders. And yes, he does things no other qb can like fumble as much as he does and someone on his team recover almost all the time, or has the luxury of hitting receivers that are so wide open a blind man could see them open.

There were all kinds of idiots who wrote off Peyton Manning as unable to win the big one. Same brand of idiots wrote off Eli Manning as unable to not have turnovers at critical times. Same genre of idiots claim Ben Roethlesberger was a one hit wonder.

Writing off a talented QB this early in his career is beyond stupid.

I am not pointing fingers at any person. If this offends you it is only because you feel guilty, not because I have picked on you for your opinion.
