... than Parcells has in Dallas. I'm sure there are excuses: the failed Quincy experiment, the failed Vinny experiment, and now the failed Drew experiment, the failed attempt at sticking to the defense that Zimmer had before Parcells came to Dallas (I know, I know, Parcells realized he didn't have the personnel and all that).

But how did Coughlin do it so soon?

It's because he is surrounding himself with young players, good assistants and a Franchise QB for the next 10 years.

Yeah, i'd say he's a step ahead.

What sucks is they're winning AND going through their growing pains with their QB of the future and we're....uh....well...nevermind.

he didnt inherit quincy carter, had to try to replace darren woodson

He had a lot more talent to start with

other than plaxico its essentially the same team at the key positions

Cha-cing.

Eli vs. Carter
Tiki vs. Hambrick
Yeah, he had better players to begin with. The Giants were in the SB what 2-3 years before Tom took over.

He hasn't done it yet....they are only 8-4 and haven't won anything yet. But, Coughlin inherited a team with a much firmer foundation than Parcells did in Dallas. And that's not an excuse, it is reality.

Well, part of it was that he fell into a situation where he was absolutely going to get a great, young QB in the draft, be it Rivers, Manning, or Roethlisberger. The only so called sure-fire QB we have been in position to draft since Parcells has been here was Leftwich, so, just for what it's worth- and believe me, I'm no real Friend of Bill, but I think that's the whole difference in the two teams- unfortunately, they are set and are going to be rocking and rolling at the top of the NFC for a long time while we are still in a rebuilding mode IMO, and will continue to be until we get a legit QB for the future. Bledsoe is fine for now, but he will only get worse while Eli will only get better.

Clearly this is correct.
