He is just saying the same thing his GM is saying. Just a business about money. Why should he feel different? The culture is messed up.

taken out of context if you go by the thread title and don't watch…….
but he understands that the cowboys may not be able to afford him.

Time to move on, thanks for the effort this season but we can't afford to break the bank for him...

Based on what defensive linemen received last year, I doubt Hatcher will get anywhere near what he thinks he's going to.

On the open market he had almost no offers.

He was an under achiever until this year.

Says questionable things. You can't pay him.

One of my favorite guys to pull for through the years, I thought when he got here in 06 the sky was the limit.

My opinion is he goes home to Louisiana and plays for Ryan in New Orleans on an average salary.

If I were here and had the chance to get out I would be like the road runner...meep meep and gone.

Respect to Hatch for what he has done for the cowboys.. but at his age, he deserves a good contract, and this isn't the team that can afford him considering the scheme change, and salary cap restrictions…

Thanks for Everything Hatch….

Some of the negative responses are amazing… watch the video please.

I like Hatcher and thought he had a Pro Bowler year. And i'd bring him back on a 1 year 4 or 5 million dollar deal. But if he can find a team to give him a long term deal? Props to him. He deserves it. He had a GREAT year. Was a great leader and backed it up on the field. I hope he gets paid by someone. Just not us.

Please move on. The Cowboys need YOUNG free agents, not players over 30.

Thank you. He has had a great year and even lives in my neighborhood, but I would prefer the Cowboys move on from him. He would be 32 and and has only given us one solid year since he has been here. No since in throwing big money his way only to have him do what Rat and Spencer did.

The Cowboys would keep themselves out of trouble if they focus on the 2015 season as much or more than the 2014 season. It is highly realistic that the defense could be great by 2015 but there is a much lower probability that it will be great in 2014.

Focusing on 2015 would prevent them from signing older players even on low cost contracts.

They need to get YOUNG free agents in and get them a year in the scheme. Signing stopgap older veterans just keeps young player from getting experience in the scheme.

What would be his salary if he is franchised for a year?
