Meanwhile, Melton is injured and can't go against the Saints.

Cowboys so far have a better record than the Commanders, so I think we've been doing OK. Anyway I thought he was injured with a hamstring injury?

I like Hatcher and wish him all the best except when he plays against the Cowboys.

I like him, too, but I wish him the worst (barring injury) because he's now a Commander. That's not something I can overlook. Eagles or Steelers, either. Maybe even the Niners.

Ahh the old darned if you don't darned if you do narrative for Jerry and Co.

Go with the younger cheaper higher upside option and get panned week 3.

Remember when everyone was openly cheering the front office when Hatcher was knicked up for the Commanders in the off-season?

You reap what you sow Jerry.

Never mind that he's injured. He's the younger better option. Just like Spencer. Cowboys focusing on youth, I would rather they focused on talent.

well if the one guy -and it literally is at best one guy- that did the rating for him over at pff says it then it must be so.

The way PFF does their stat rankings grinds my gears. Their efficiency rankings are akin to me following around an ice cream truck and tabulating what kid screams the loudest as to find out what the best flavor is.

And had Jerry resigned him to a huge stupid contract that negated our ability to resign Tyron Smith, Dez Bryant, and/or Demarco Murray I suppose you would be okay with that right? Despite what the stats suggest, it was still the right move. It is laughable to me how many people who have already responded usually berate Jerry for paying players over 30 are now with with the benefit of hindsight are going to act like Jerry was stupid for not paying Hatcher.
