I think murray wants to take an offseason off from football..maybe watch the combine to see new competition ..i dont know if he will be back but i dont think he is a bad player or has any lack of motivation, like some assume. If anything his motivation will be at a all time high along with alot of other players on offense and defense..the core of players imo need to be brought back at all costs..but thats just me, added talent from the draft should help substantially

That is why that reported 4/16m offer to Murray would have to be considered a very low ball offer. I think a 5/35m with 12m guaranteed would get it done with Murray.

Could be.

It's more that what I would offer him, but hey, we'll see how it plays out.

Here my take..

1) Let Murray test the market and franchise Dez, if they can't come to an agreement with Dez by the 10th. 2) Wait to see what happens with Murray, Ingram and even AP up until draft day with the other teams. 3) If Murray and Ingram sign elsewhere, draft Gordon or Gurley at #27 and we're done. 4) If Murray and Ingram sign elsewhere and Gordon and Gurley are off the board at 27, draft defense and go after AP in FA if possible. 5) Worse case scenario, is we lose out on all 5 of these guys (doubt it) and we go with Ryan Williams in 2015.

Yes, I think if Frederick was good enough to draft at #30, then Gordon or Gurley are worth drafting at #27.

Agree that should Murray leave, it will be because of Indy.......they are pathetic at RB and desperately need one to take some heat off Luck. Yes, they could go for one of them in the draft, but I think they would like to get an OLman to protect Luck as well.

I don't care id Murray leaves to be honest. Trust me, if he goes to another team, he will show his true colors.

I don't think our Executive Of The Year GM will let it come to that. Not coming off a 12-4 season.

I kinda hope your are right but if Murray gets offered $9mil + per season with over half guaranteed, Jerry will mostly likely not
be willing to match. If Murray and his agent are even in the same expanded bracket that Jerry envisions, the deal will
get done before free agency hits. JMVHO!

Hammer out a deal with Dez, tag Murray, trade him for a good pick or 2.

Right now all I expect is Dallas to make Murray a good and fair offer if that is not enough for Murray to stay then so be it. I do expect that to be in the 6 mill range per year.

I don't believe Murray is going to have much leverage on the open market. Heck, Carolina just released DeAngelo Williams. There are a lot of backs in FA and coming out of the draft.
