In the midst of the offseason, and even before the 2019 draft, the Cleveland Browns are emerging as a serious contender in the AFC for 2019. I’m not a big Odell Beckham fan but I recognize the guy has talent and the Browns trade to get him has certainly raised some eyebrows.
And the Browns should have a lot of talent. When you colossally suck for over a decade you have a chance to add some talent in the draft.
So here’s my question Cowboys fans....have the brownies passed us in the chase for NFL talent? If we matched up with them now, who would have the edge? Are the Browns closer to a SB than Dallas? I’m not going to do every position- just the positions we are looking at locking up long term as our top talent compared to the Browns.
Let’s look at the Browns top talent compared to ours:
Position Which team has the edge?
QB- Baker Mayfield vs. Dak Prescott (Cle)
RB- Nick Chubb vs. Zeke Elliott. (Dal)
WR- Odell Jr. vs Amari Cooper. ( Cle? Push?)
Pass Rusher-Miles Garrett vs Tank Lawrence (Push?)
So what say you Cowboys fans....are the Browns passing us in talent?
We have a better QB, better starting RB, better LB, better secondary so I'd say we have a strong edge over themThey have better RB depth, better receivers, and better tight end.
QB Dallas
RB Dallas
WR browns, but with baker? idk
TE Dallas
OL Dallas
DL Dallas was top 10 sacks and top 3 vs the rush
LB not even a matchup
CBS dallas
S Browns.
get over the shiney new toy, this much turnover this team is going to be a mess this yr.
I'd say it's a homer's perspective to think we have a strong edge in collective talent over the Browns. We have a better QB, better starting RB, better LB, better secondary so I'd say we have a strong edge over them
Since when do we look to the cheerleaders to provide an accurate analysis?I'd say it's a homer's perspective to think we have a strong edge in collective talent over the Browns.
The Browns ownership seem to have a better focus on football not conquering the profit margins of the world. Coaching is an overall tie.
And answer I believe is no.Thread didn’t say we didn’t have any talent or incapable of winning. It was just a question- do the browns have more talent on their roster than us?
Tied for 8th in sacks'Tell me more about "Dallas being top 10 in sacks" and "top 3 vs rush"?
I never thought I'd see the day when Cowboys fans were good with moral victories. Satisfied with winning seasons, or division titles. The things that we used to crucify Commander, Eagle, and Giants fans for when they'd throw those types of achievements up when we were winning REAL Championships. It's a sad day.
Tied for 8th in sacks'
sorry they were 5th vs the run.
run for the hills theyre bad
But, I thought we were better than the Pats somehow? I know I read that somewhere.WOW! Never thought about that, makes it even worse.

See the Giants the year they gave out over 200M in contracts to Vernon and others. They appeared to be stacked with talent.
It turns out a roster full of big names often doesn't make for a great team.
