Have there ever been co_head coaches in the league

Just curious if this has ever happened before. I wonder if we could let Wade be DC/co-head coach and Shannahan OC/co-head coach.

I know it is ridiculous, but just curious if any team has ever done anything like this before.

IMO, Dallas has it set-up like that. Without the co-head title ofcourse.

On any team with Wade, special teams coach is on par with assistant in charge of quality control.

Buddy Ryan and Ditka got carried on the field by the players when they won the superbowl. Ditka ran the offense and Ryan the defense I think many players saw them as equal or near it.
