Which Head Coaches do you think are likely to receive pink slips this year?

NFC East
1. Wade Phillips, Dallas Cowboys
2. Jim Zorn, Washington Commanders

NFC North
3. Lovie Smith, Chicago Bears

NFC South
4. Raheem Morris, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Yep after 1 year, no not fair.)

AFC East
5. Dick Jauron, Buffalo Bills

AFC North
6. Eric Mangini, Cleveland Browns

AFC South
7. Gary Kubiak, Houston Texans

AFC West
8. Tom Cable, Oakland Raiders (It's still Al Davis.)

I thought a couple of those were sure things to be fired

Bolded ones that will not happen, I'll bet the house on it, I also believe Kubiak will get one more season, the Houston fans give him so much respect even though he has accomplished less than Wade has

Well, that's why I included them.

I am surprised John Fox was given a pass. I like him though.

I think Wade Phillips has yet to be determined. I'd venture to say he'll be here next year.

If we lose 44-6 tomorrow and lose 100-3 in the playoff's I'd still bet he will be back in some form or another, I truly believe Jerry has some form of respect for Wade, and sadly Myself and Jerry may be a part of the minority that see how great a coach Wade is.

I have seen posts where people say if Wade wins a super bowl we should still fire him cause he is not a good coach, c'mon man, what did Herm Edwards ever accomplish? I could go around screaming idiotic things but that doesn't change the game, any fan worth a **** would realize how great a coach Wade is.

Wade is not only a great coach but a fantastic human being, he gave the players Christmas day off, this is Wade's team.

And the "great" Bill Cowers, who I greatly respect, took 13 years to win a Super Bowl. Yet he's one of coaches fans are calling for. I love the guy, I just don't see why we should let go of Wade. He's done well here.

saying Wade has done well is a freakin' insult. 3RD best defense in the NFL, you probably never thought you could say that about the Dallas Cowboys defense.

In contention for another NFCE win in 3 seasons after us not getting it for what? 11 seasons.

Does an oddity on this list jump out at you? It does to me.

Wade Phillips, a guy that has not had a losing season, is on the hot seat.

Hes not on any freakin' seat, its the fans and the ESPN that says he is, Jerry is not an idiot he lived through those 5-11 seasons, his wallet sure as hell likes these winning seasons more.

Chan Gailey didn't have one either.

The Bills got permission to interview Chargers DC Ron Rivera. I like that one.

A Wade Phillips hate thread?

I'll defend him, hes a top 5 coach in the NFL, the 2nd best defensive coach in Football after Rex Ryan, a likeable guy, and a player-first coach.

His job is "on the line" he gives his players Christmas day off in return, his players are his priority.

Only one on the list is in the playoffs. And he's made the playoffs 2 out of 3 years. Kinda absurd. If only he sounded tougher in press conferences.

Thats the best part about him thats he not some guy who thinks making the team have an extra hard practice on Christmas day will make them play better on Sundays.

Eh, I won't get into a heated debate. I just don't see why you'd give someone the "pink slip" until the season is over and unless don't believe we can win a Super Bowl.

It's just baffling. You hear too many fans not giving this guy a chance based on his past and not what he's doing this year. But oh well. I'll let them have their fun.
