One of my friends who works as a content writer for Fox Sports is telling me that he's hearing that Phillips is being demoted to DC (willingly so apparently). According to him, Wade can't take the stress and simply wants to focus on one side of the ball.

The more interesting part is that he stated that there was no plans to change anything with the team this year but that something occurred about ten days ago that divided the front office. This coincides with Garrett finally interviewing with the Lions, but could be chance as well.

He had no idea on the new HC, just mentioned the usual guys.

If this is true that means Shanahan is coming. While I din't want to lose Garrett I am on board with this.

I would love to have Wade as DC because I think he's great on that side of the ball. I just don't think he has it in him to be a good head coach. Hopefully the rumors are true but I'm always skeptical.
