Am I the only one glad the Heat's win streak is over? The media going on and on about it took the fun out of it. I just wanted it to be over.

i love streaks and i wanted to see them break it because taking the streak from the Lakers would have been great...screw the Lakers...but yeah it's probably a good thing for the Heat the streak is over...they can worry more about winning a title than breaking a regular season record.

Herm Edwards said last night on Sportscenter that the Heat would win out and have a streak of 39.

Oh well . . . . . . . .

It would have been great to see them break the Lakers record. Now they can concentrate on winning another title and not have the streak as a possible distraction. Would it have been a distraction? You never know, but now its not an issue.

As a Lakers fan I'm happy to see the Heat's streak end. Obviously the times have changed, but when the Lakers set the NBA record the coverage was minimal. I can't imagine what the coverage would be like now if the Lakers were making that record today. It would have been insane.

It's good in the long run for the heat.

Wade and others can rest for a few games against the below .500 teams.

I was surprised that the Bulls team that won 72 games didn't have a streak of at least 27.
Anyway, it was entertaining but I didn't want them to get to 33+ because the current league is so watered down.
Nice run, nevertheless.

I am glad too, can't stand LeFraud.

LeFraud ??

What is up with that?

I'm not an NBA fan of anyone, but he is a good guy, a good teammate, and a "beast" on the basketball court.

He is no fraud, he is the real deal, ... sorry you can't see that. I wonder what is blinding you from seeing what is so obvious.

So, I don't like him. I can see his talent but he just rubs me the wrong way. The way he announced his new team was pathetic and only for attention to boost his ego. Instead of staying with his home team, he had to "stock up" to win a championship.

I am not much of an NBA fan these days. Once Hakeem, Jordan, Malone, etc retired, the league has become a "me" game instead of a team game. It is getting harder and harder to watch for me.

OK, you don't like him, .. that's fine.
I knew there must be something blinding you.

But let's see, he left a team where it was all about him, and only about him, (me) .. and went to a team where he was just one of many stars. (team)

The kid can play, he is no fraud.

I'm not a big basketball fan by any means but I do follow the Heat casually since they are my local team.

Anybody that dislikes Lebron because he left Cleveland and said he was taking his talents to South Beach is just looking for an excuse to hate a guy and team. He left Cleveland because they were not committed to winning. Thats pretty obvious since he left.

The guy has been bashed much like Romo is bashed. Its was just popular to bash and hate him for some reason. He's a team guy and the best player in the league. Watching him play in person is a treat.

If anybody should be bashed and hated it should be guys like Kobe and Carmelo . . . . . . . . . .

dude get over it "The Decison" was tacky yes i agree but who cares. fans and people in general get way too caught up in a players personal life and decisions. i liked him before the decision and after and always rooted for him for what he DID ON THE COURT. i really could care less if he was the biggest jerk off the court. i know and watch lebron james cause hes an amazing basketball talent. i dont follow him for his off the court decisions.

people need to stop thinking athletes are role models.

Nothing I have heard about LeBron says he is a good guy.

Everyone knows he has a massive ego...but I've heard that he's a bad tipper and that he has a house full of mistresses. That hardly makes him a good guy.

So he joins Tiger and Madonna for tipping.

Where did you hear about the house full of mistresses?

The refs handed them 3 wins during the streak. I mean they literally handed the Heat 3 victories with their onesided officiating. One of them was against Orlando a few weeks ago. Oh, Lebron can cry a river after the Bulls loss, claiming they manhandled him, but he won't call out all the calls he and his teammates have gotten to help the streak continue. You never saw Magic, Larry, Michael, David, Timmy, Barkley, etc whine about the physical and hard fouls or the abundance of fouls on them......they just took it and kept coming back for more. Hell, even Kobe almost never whines publicly about th officiating....but Lebron is and always has been nothing more than a whiny, spoiled, coddled female dog.

The streak was bound to end soon. They had some tough games coming up, including the Bulls. They had been playing with fire, getting down huge early, and then having to make furious comebacks in the 2nd half. That really isn't something you want to be doing on a consistent basis.

I am not a fan of the Bulls by any means, but they sure made me happy last night, all that while missing several key players. Just like the Spurs almost beat them with only their bench.

When the Lakers set the record the NBA finals were shown on tape delay. Nobody cared.

Another reason why I am glad the Heat lost, it ruined Stern's night....his little darlings couldn't get it done, even when his minions (the refs) did everything they could to help.
