Heath Benedict found dead

Half of my family went to Newberry. I think Benedict would have been their 1st NFL player. the had a LB in the USFL (Herb Spencer -- Bham), but I thik this would have been their best shot at a player in the NFL.

Rest eternal grant him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him.

Bummer. I can't imagine what his family must be going through right now. Not a good year to be a "Heath".

Story time. At work this afternoon the guy who works in the same office I do asked if I had ever heard of this guy. I think he wanted to give me the scoop on his death.

So I told him all about the kid and he just patiently listened. When I was done he said, "I can't believe you have ever heard of that kid from that tiny school."

I didn't tell him about my Mocks, etc. Let him think I need help. I don't care.
