Funny that all these talking heads who never watch a complete Cowboy game blame it all on Romo yet when they are finally forced to watch a Monday night Cowboy game it's the coaches.

I'm guessing you're related to Tony, if not, you may want to seek help.

During post game of NFLN last night Heath Evans was asked about the Cowboys. While not a fan of the guy normally, he said everything that should have been said. Basically indicating that with the talent Dallas has, better coaches would make this team a serious contender. Plain and simple calling out the coaching staff. Usually coaches dont get called out on the carpet like that. Then on ESPN this morning Cris Carter basically doing the same thing. Saying our scheme on Defense is obsolete, doesnt work with personnel, also criticizing the use of our offense. All in all, our coaching staff is now being called out...Personnally I blame them, also JJ, but Garrett and the boys are horrible, 3-4 a year lost by just being out coached.... its just sad!!!

Obsolete or not, you aren't going ANYWHERE when you are signing guys two years out of the league on a Tuesday and starting them on Sunday...

I'm not a huge fan of the Tampa 2 in this day and age, but we have had, I think, 25 different starters on defense this season...

It's disappointing, but the rash of injuries on this defense is unprecedented...

If he said it or not should not be the point, the point is that the satement is absolutely correct, Garrett is awful and we would be a playoff team year in and year out with a good HC.
totally agree.....I heard one thing, someone heard something else, whatever... yeah who cares what Evans ahs to say...but its the truthm better coach = more wins....

btw, I have a great job!!! thanks for asking....

Where is this talent he speaks of?
This has to be one the very least talented defenses in the entire league. I mean, they are starting several guys who would not even be on many NFL rosters.

He's right about the coaching though.
Just watching the Chicago offensive scheme (or New Orleans...similar themes) makes me sick.

I'm not sure waht to think on the defesnive scheme becasue we are so outmanned. It does seem like a scheme that requires exceptional talent and some the area we most lack.

We have talent problems on OL, we have talent problems all over the defensive side of the ball, we have talent problems at head coach, we have talent problems relating to DC, we have talent problems with OC, we have leadership issues and we have, well, talent problems at the very tip top. What does this all mean??

It means I don't get too caught up wasting my "worry minutes" over this team. It's a waste of minutes.

They are right in that this defense can't be run well with our personnel. It can work if you use variants of the scheme. I thought Kiffin was going to do that and I he was. He lost his DL although Hatcher stepped up and played that necessary penetrating 3 DT. But he lost the push he needed with all the injuries to the front seven. And they only have three guys in the secondary who can play the scheme in Church, Carr and OScan. And Scandrick needs to play the slot as he doesn't have the size to play outside. And Carr is too slow to play zone really well. He's ok playing pressure.

This team is talented on the offensive side. Good enough to win a SB IMO. The defense is marginal in this scheme and a complete atrocity with what they have left to put out there. Those guys are game but you just have to have more talent and some playmakers.

First of all. If you watched him last night then you will know HE SPECIFICALLY SAID, AND I QUOTE: "THE PROBLEM IS NOT TONY ROMO AND THE PROBLEM IS NOT JASON GARRETT."

You guys always do the same thing, you cherry pick what suits your fancy.

If you listened to him, it was his contention that Garrett had been SADDLED with Kiffen. He DID blame it on the defensive staff. Get your information straight.
He did say that. Minutes before he said "with better coaching this is a playoff team". He totally contradicted himself. He's a moron.

I don't think we have the talent to win anything. Not making excuses for the coaches tho, I would clean house. Coaches gotta go too

I don't think he contradicted himself. I think he clarified himself. One rule of interpreting language is that you interpret something unclear in the light of what the person communicating has made clear.

If he says with better coaching the team makes the playoffs
Then follows it by specifying it is the defensive coaching staff
Then goes so far as to absolve the head coach by name

He made plain what he meant. I'm not arguing whether anyone should agree with him or disagree with him, I'm just saying that we can know what he meant by what he said.

Bravo. One of the very few fans out there that actually gets it. We do not have the talent on either side of the ball to succeed. The defense is a total joke and the offense is not far behind. Even better coaching would only produce marginal results with these players. Our veterans are nothing more than coach killers. Team needs to be gutted, we need an actual GM, and Jerry needs to just sit down down, shut up, and stay away from this team.

Lack of talent is an issue with this team, so he is wrong. I don't like the coaching either though.

Are you saying Bravo because he represents YOUR views or because he accurately represented Evans views by saying he contradicted himself? Because if you meant the latter, you are wrong. As I explained, he never contradicted himself.

I'm saying bravo because he shares my same views. Has nothing to do with what Evans said. I'm not even sure what Evans said, I never saw it. I just felt trailblazer was on point about his view of our team, that is all.

Sounds like you got a case of the Jerrys, Sarge.

More and more fans are becoming indifferent with this team.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they were talking about the defensive coach. I didn't watch it, but based in the comments...of course I may be wrong.
