Heath running down Barkley

Better get used to him cause Heath is cheap and Dallas does not like to pay safeties. Since Deon, they look for cheap on the cheap.

Who is Deon?

Deion Sanders was a CB, not a Safety.

They've given out many massive contracts since Deion.

Granted the Cowboys have given some big contracts to CB's but, not safeties if I remember right. Maybe one got a contract in the 30mil range once.
Cowboys just don't pay safeties just like DT's.

I'm expecting the usual unimpressive showing by #38 with a big play peppered in to keep the legend growing.
He plays well most of the time and has a few incredible plays in the mix. 95% of NFL teams would love what he brings

Heath had a slight angle.

Heath had a slight angle, but did a good job of chasing him down. Lee was the one out of position on that play and Jaylon was slow to fill the gap, if anyone gets the blame on that play, it's those two.

I dont know why people think Heath cant tackle the dude is a freaking hitter! He has toned it down this year because of the leagues rule on leading with the helmet. Heath has had his share of ups and downs but he has improved his game from a few years ago.

He is not a bad tackler, but this one game he kind of got worked a bit. People are ignoring the fact that Barkley made a living off breaking tackles. He rarely gets brought down by the first person that hits him, or even the second. Heath's biggest issue is he tends to overrun plays so he gets in a position where he has to reach instead of being able to wrap up.

As others have said, his best position would be the spot that Woods is playing, but they are putting their best two safeties out there and trying to make them fill different roles when they are both really suited for the same spot.

Did anybody notice Jeff Heath run down Saquon Barkley from behind?

The announcer said Heath had an angle but it looked like a straight run-down in that last 5 to 10 yards.

Heath might not be great but he is by far a better Safety than Bill Bates on his best day, yet people loved Bates and hate Heath.

No, he isn't. It's a completely different era for safeties. Bates was BY FAR a better safety than Heath THAT era than Heath is in this era.

If they both played in this era, yes Heath would be better. If they both played in the 80's, Bates would still be better. Overall, measuring their effectiveness per era, Bates is better.

That being said, I like Heath and I don't have a problem with him at all.

Heath is a bad angle FS
Heath is a bad tackling technique SS
Heath has got a few right place right times INTs... they aren't coverage TOs

Heath is 100% replaceable and should only be a backup/dime/STs guy... that is his value

Getting clowned by Barkley on the stiff arms, missed tackles is not good but I don't hold it against him too much because well its Barkley & the dude is good.

Heath has exceptional speed and he always puts forth great effort but he does drive you crazy with the "wth" plays.

The post quoted did not even mention Heath...
I know exactly what he quoted, I chose not to acknowledge it because quite frankly, it was too dumb to acknowledge. Is that okay with you sir?

Heath has proven he can be a starter in this league.

I’d like to upgrade but Jeff Heath is not a weakness on our football team.

What DB in this league doesn’t have their bad moments?

The rules are completely against them.

Jeff Heath is a solid player that can make big plays from time to time.

Sure, every player is going to get beat. Always been a Heath supporter. just saying he does have too many plays where you just can't imagine what he was trying to do. If he could get the consistency down, he would be quite a player.

Heath can't tackle which happens to be a requirement for safeties.
Neither could Roy after that one big hit that hurt a receiver......he seemed to change drastically after that.

He was a liability on the field.......

Sure, but all the posters here thought Brandon Carr was a great player who signed a bargain price. They never complained about him at all.......right?

How many Pro Bowls has Heath been too exactly?

Jesus Christ, dude...... it's my opinion/obversation.

Let it go.

You want a cookie, a medal or a chest to pin it on?

How many deserve to go to the Pro-Bowl yet get snubbed?

How many go and shouldn't be there?

Good Lord. Freaking stalker........
