I'm with you. I like Heath, but like I said after the Detroit game.. He can't tackle.

I hope he doesn't get the McCray label after being on the field wayyyyy to early.

I'm not sure how he has proven to be a prospect other than simply being young. Not writing him off completely but the guy cant tackle which is critical obviously at the S position. He does have decent size and good game speed but that alone obviously is not enough.

LOL! What? I thought Phil Pozderik was the worst "NFL" player I ever saw until Sunday night. Guy cant cover or tackle and does not belong in the NFL.

Heath has excellent speed and his tackling can be improved, in fact he does a lot of things right in his tackling, needs more strength to bring some guys down. That will improve. He needs better awareness in making his reads, that can be improved, too. He is worth keeping around. Has a lot of fire in him. He also plays good special teams.

Heath was horrible against Saints but it isn't like he is a starter, he was thrust onto the game and it showed that he has a long ways to go. I don't know if he will ever become a good player or not but I don't think team should just give up on a player based on one game or circumstances that forced an UDFA in a very difficult situation.

Set your sights higher boys. We can do better. Heath needs to make his bones on special teams before anything else.

We (still) need a true free safety, and Heath is not that.

Why are you in the NFL if you can't tackle? Send him packing.

He's also playing out of position.

So if he could just figure out how to play football after becoming a better, stronger athlete he would be OK? Great news!

Just stop already. Sigh...

The team has made the mistake before of letting guys go too soon. He is a rookie and you expect too much too soon.

I love the hope, but it is unrealistic in my opinion. It's not like one player is going to make a difference anyway. My post was not really intended to be personal against you by the way. Just generally frustrated with the entire state of the Dallas Cowboys. Lack of quality backups because of horrible mega deals is just one aspect of it.

Yeah and I really didn't wake up today expecting to be a Heath defender, I am extremely disappointed with his last game and expect a lot better if he is gonna stick around. I do agree with the initial thought process when he was kept on the roster, he looked great in preseason, is often the first guy down the field on special teams, and looks like the RKG. But he needs to improve, and fast.

Indeed, Heath is a poster boy for our awful cap situation which has plagued us for years. Having to go with undrafted rookies instead of quality free agents is a big sign of poor money management. It would be interesting to see how much wasted money this team has in comparison with other teams. I bet that is one stat we lead in.

It got to the point where you started to wonder what exactly could Heath do? Becuase he displayed absolutely nothing. NOTHING.

I haven't wrote him off. Different sports but I remember when Steve Nash first came to the Mavs and he played horribly fans booed him. I'm not saying Heath will ever amount to anything but usually games like this where the play is so bad? It ends up being beneficial for the player. That's if he's a player. I'm not sure if Heath is. But no one knows what Heath is at this point.

Its a candy bar.
