The helmet coming off was incidental but this is the second week in a row that I thought there should have been a penalty for an opposing player throwing the ball into the stands..am I wrong on that? Is that allowed?

He's not talking at the end of the game when they stuffed Murray. He's referring to earlier.

Yeah, I'm not sure if we ae talking about the same play. I was referring to when our Full Back, on the first drive of the third fumbled the ball. The Commanders guy like an straight to mid-field with his helmet off.

The missed intentional grounding really irked the hell out of me.

Of course so did a couple of the times when their tackles got away with basically tackling our D-lineman.

But that's nothing new. That's been going on.

i dont know how the refs and the commentators missed that intentional grounding. Im starring at the tv hoping a see a flag come out and they moved on to the next play like it was nothing. Heck did any of the cowboys or even Garrett do or say anything about it? This is why we don't get calls, sometimes you have to cry to the refs look at Brady for example.

I actually thought the refs helped the skins on the last drive when they stopped the clock after the short pass on 1st down.

His momentum was stopped in bounds, and then he was shoved backwards and out of bounds. Clock should have kept running. One of our guys actually looked at the ref and made the signal to keep the clock running.

It really played into the skins favor at the time, although it didn't turn out to be anything since cousins threw three passes to nobody. LOL

On the Commanders last play, there should have been a delay of game call, and Hatcher was grabbed by the arm and the back of his jersey as he was trying to get to Cousins. No call for either.

I remember that play, his helmet was tilted upward and he obviously pushes it off to start his celebration.

Throwing the ball into the stands after a TD results in a fine, but is not penalized, I believe.

I agree, I was going to mention this, but just had not done so as of yet.

His helmet did not come off by itself, he "helped" it off by tilting his head back and shaking it off.

Reminds me of some of the kids I coach in youth baseball after they hit a double or triple, .. or maybe they are trying to score from second in a big game.

I see them flip their heads back as they are running in an effort to flip their helmet off. Kids seem to like finishing a play without their helmet.

They think I don't see it, .. the Commander probably is no different than my kids. LOL

But his helmet did not come off by accident.

Didnt Garcon spin the ball at least twice after a couple of catches? Thought they were gonna call that this year

They call things like that delay of game, but then they let guys chuck the ball into the stands or thirty yards downfield after a pick with no flag. Officiating in the NFL is strange.

So is it ok to now take the ball and throw it into the stands? Green Bay did it last week and Washington this week. No calls at all.

And yes that was clearly grounding.

Yes I'm really sick of that and what Garcon did. Garcon does it all the time and I thought there was a rule about that. The throwing the ball in the stands there shouldn't be any question that is a penalty. I don't understand why it needs to be done. I mean who are you throwing it to.

The play should be stopped immediately when the helmet comes off. No advancement of progress should be given. The play is dead as soon as helmet comes off.

Yeah there are delay of games called when a player tosses the ball up the field, slowing the game down. I've seen it called many times. So why can you just take the ball and chunk it into the stands? Makes no sense.

That should be an automatic 15 yard penalty. There is no question in my mind that is completely out of line to do that. I'm sure if this becomes an epidemic Lord Goodell will see to it that the penalties are more harsher.
