Simply play a video via quicktime and it should start up by itself. If not, remove QT from your PC and the reinstall it.

You have registry entry most likely in these spots to look for them and clear them out. This has been an on going thing with apple dating back 6 years now. Have fun

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\image/tiff]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple Computer,]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Apple Computer, Inc.\QuickTime\Installed MIME Types]
"image/x-tiff"=-

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\Extension\tif]

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Plugins\Extension\tiff]

Do you have Itunes installed? I have seen this error in the past and had uninstall Itunes and re-install Itunes with quicktime together.
