This just randomly popped into my head, but just wondering if anyone thinks we miss Henry in the secondary?

I hated this trade at the time because I thought Kitna would be getting cut, but it seems like things have worked out well. It's tough to access Kitna's value since he has not played, but I think our young guys in the secondary have developed really well with their added playing time.

He has started 5 games this year has 32 tackles and 1 interception.

Between him, Canty, and T.O. .....

We finally got rid of players at the right time.

We used to get in shootouts with teams like Detroit.

Now Detroit is getting into shootouts with Brady "checkdown" Quinn.

Not putting that 100% on Henry obviously, but I'm glad we moved on.

"Late last season, a group of disgruntled players on the Detroit sideline mocked teammates who were still trying. Kitna responded in the season finale against Dallas by throwing 4 TD passes to thwart the Cowboys' hopes for the NFC East title. Many Lions say that's when it clicked for them."

I don't regret the trade but I'm sure Henry does. I would really hate being traded to a team like Detroit.

Ideally, we would have gotten Kitna off of waivers, but that would have been long odds. And after seeing the growth of our young guys, I don't miss Henry that much.

I still like the trade and I'm pretty sure Kitna has had at least some positve impact on Romo. And if Tony did go down, we would covered for a few games by a very solid player at the most important position.

I think Henry has been benched since the 5th game or so, and they've tried to move him to safety. But he can't get on the field there, either.

We definitely moved on at the right time. I wasn't sure he was 100% finished, but I guess he was.

He was probably the 4th best CB on the team last year, but as usual, the last people to realize that were the coaching staff and front office.

He has played less than 300 snaps, so he was either injured or benched. There are nearly 83 CBs in the league with more snaps than him.

I saw some of that Cleveland game and I don't believe he starts there. It wasn't about whether or not Henry was the best cb on this team it was about depth in the secondary. That's why I was against it initially.

TBH i couldnt care less what we got for henry just as long as hes gone. i think it was a good trade not only do i feel he was a huge liability but now that hes gone jenkins and scandrick are really starting to come into their own. With him stil here i dont that that would have happened this year.

Anthony Henry was going to be cut. So its no big deal.

Henry was going to be cut because he made ~ 5 mil and had been passed by both young corners.

There is nothing more of this trade to discuss imho.

It was a good trade, because Henry didn't lose a step. He lost multiple steps. I still remember a one-armed Mason torching him. He was good his first couple of years with us, but he went downhill fast.

I like what Kitna brings. After the Brad Johnson situation last year, I am happy to have a backup of Kitna's caliber. Hopefully he never sees the field, but he is much better than Brad Johnson.

Our coaching staff is not much in demoting players so Henry would have gotten in the way of progress. Same with Ellis.

I agree with most of you guys. Looks as though things worked out for the best. Hopefully Jerry is starting to learn that good trades don't have to involve us giving up multiple draft picks.

Or maybe he'll just retire...
