Henry is a athletic freak really.
but watch his 3 cone drill and then it hits you...he won't create much but wouldn't be problem in Dallas.

One cut and gone. Plenty of DB's will be making Business decisions.

Right. I love the the whole "the holes aren't that big in NFL" crowd with him. Or the LB's are bigger! I guess they forget the holes our Oline have opened up for 2 years that I could run through, and what LB's? Ro and who else is bigger than Henry?? Demarco put LB's on there butts! Plus anybody see Henry get caught from behind in the beloved NFL breeding ground SEC??
5.54? Typo? I watched him run both times and do not recall him running that slow. 4.52 and 4.54 is what I remember (no sure on the order).
Murray,McFadden and even Randle made a lot of guys miss at the LOS not just by making the right cut (which is why people worry about Henry's vision), but by also making someone miss at the LOS and in the hole frequently. Murray had a fantastic jump step he used in the hole very effectively.
So guys run for 2,200 all the time in CFB, and break a record that has been there since the 80's from Hershal, all while playing with a crappy QB huh?
I would rather have Zeke, but Henry will bring us back to the only time this offense has been feared.

I'm eager to see this as well but the one cut and gone scenario, with some DBs lying on their backs in his wake, is a tantalizing thought.
This is what I am waiting for. It's been no secret the guy is dynamite in a straight line. I want to see how long it takes him to gather that speed and how much he loses when he changes direction.
He'll have to make linebackers and athletic linemen miss some of the time for that to happen, which is going to mean COD skills. Even in a great zone blocking scheme, the back usually needs to make one guy miss with his cut.
It's going to be hilarious watching all those corners with Mike Jenkins syndrome when Henry does get to the outside or into the secondary though.
After his combine, I don't expect Derrick Henry to be around when we pick at 34. My opinion.
