Henry vs A Glenn

Am I the only one who sees how bad Henry is? I mean there is a reason teams pick on Henry. Perfect example of this debate is in covering Burress. When Henry is on him he gets catches. When Glenn is on him he doesn't.

Henry had some good plays don't get me wrong but this zone we are running does not suit Henry's talents and he looks bad in it.

We are a much better team with Glenn in there because of his speed. I counted 4 times that Henry gave up a 3rd down conversion and I know there was more.

I might be sensitive to his play but it happens every week.

This is more than the game today. The guy is getting big bucks to be something more than he is right now. He gets beat more than a couple times.

He is going to cost us a game and then you guys will sing a different tune.

No kidding, but Henry gets a lot of PI's called on him, and I dare say at least half of them range from shakey to BS at best. Remember Newman's sophmore season were he even looked at a guy they'd throw the flag on him, and you could tell it was really effecting his play? Well that's what these calls on Henry are reminding me of.

best game? not according to the Giants forum, "we beat ourselves" I guess if they count personal fouls as the reason, then yeah.

I think Henry would be a good FS. As Corner I think He's prretty good but HE tends tyo over commit like Kieth Davis. His Speed isnt very good either, He tends to get left behind quite a bit.

However as a run support guy He's great and He does make some good plays for us. He did knock the ball away from Plaxico today for a possible gfame changing TD.

Lets not forget That just last year Henry was our best Corner for the beggining of the season..He got a little exposed in SF though lol.

*Sigh* If some one throws at you 30 times a game as they do Henry the law of averages permits a couple of completions, when you play opposite of Terence Newman you receive more attention. The touchdown Henry gave up today was simply excellent execution. That is the thing about an offense that gets it right, you can match them with the perfect defense and call the perfect coverage, have it played to perfection as practiced and still get beat despite all the right moves.

This is the case in most of the instances of Henry being beaten, he's also dropped picks, but he also breaks up TD passes ala Shockey Sunday and Galloway on Thanksgiving. He is a good cover corner and a sure tackler. Next question.

Man, you guys need to look at some of the terrible corners on other teams that get ate up every weekend and count you lucky stars that you have three solid corners on this team. All corners get beat sometimes and all have an occasional Pass Interferance call on them. Henry is a better than average corner in this league. I would spend the money on him all over again. Deja vu! Rememeber when all of us were crying for better secondary help before he got here? It was really bad! I have not forgotten and do not want to revisit that nightmare!

Henry just gets more balls his way since Newman removes their RWR from the game.

If Henry gets twice the passes his way, he's going to give some up. Newman gives up more per pass on average than Henry too.

Newman is an absolute stud, so teams just will throw on Henry. Henry isn't Newman but a lot of people think he should be.

How about you concentrate on the defenders who are struggling like the FS or James.

yeah, all our guys are mismatched in this type of system...thats the coaching however

You guys are nuts. Newman is great. Henry and Glenn are good. It's amazing that Glenn is a nickel back on any team, but Henry is a good CB at worst IMO. Glenn was a better signing considering the money, but Henry was a great signing.
