Ellis has never really been lights out spectacular, but he's been consistently solid. That being said, he might be on his way out. He's never had the same explosiveness since his achilles injury.

Oh, and Demarcus Ware is a beast, even if he was relatively invisible today as well. Chris Canty, Marcus Spears....great base for years to come on that front.

Wow.

1. Ellis had his best season ever after that achilles injury. If he's slowing down it's due to his age, not his achilles. Plus, I don't think he's played that bad this year. He's been asked to beat up on TE's more then he did last year, and he's done a good job at that. Just cuz he doesn't have a lot of sacks doesn't mean he's not doing a good job at whatever the DCoord is asking him to do.

2. Ware was NOT invisible today. Stop looking at the stats. He was all over the field today forcing throw aways or bad throws. He WON the game withi his pressure on TB's last 4th down.

3. Canty and Spears a "Great" base for years to come? Now I know you don't watch the game. If you'd said "Solid base for years to come" I'd agree with you. Maybe you're just throwing the word "Great" around too loosely, but there's nothing "Great" about either one of them. They're solid players. Nothing more.

What's weird about the Henry thing is that it almost seemed like the coaches got more confident in their defense after he went out. Is it possible that his lack of speed is affecting how the coaches plan and call games?

Greg Ellis caught one off a tip and Hamlin got one off a really dumb pass (can't remember from who).

Patrick Crayton got one in the endzone. It deflected off of Austin's hands. :)

henry was so good last yr before he got hurt.

he was leading the league in int and playing like a pro bowler. this yr he has looked terrible and a step slow in coverage. i dont see us resigning him

Playing well when he's healthy has been the story of Anthony Henry's career in Dallas. Problem is that he's never healthy on a consistent basis. Now he doesn't even look good when's healthy. He used to be a physical ballhawk who challenged WR, but now he just looks deathly afraid of being beaten.

For the record his contract isn't up until 2010, but I can't see him making it there before he's cut at the rate he's fading.

Which is why he would be a perfect safety.

Speaking of....

We need Spencer back, because Ellis has been pretty much invisible.

Ellis was moving like Walter Brennan on Sunday.

He and Brad Johnson looked 75 years old.

Never like to see a guy get hurt but....

man was it nice to see our dbs NOT get torched by their receiver. Ball was step for step pretty much all day.

IMHO Henry has not lost a step, he's lost 2 or 3. He's a liability for us now. SAD BUT TRUE. :(
