From backing up and learning from Bledsoe. VT was a silent type - no fire.

Bledsoe is secure enough to pass on his football knowledge and the nuances of the game to the pup.

One of the single most memories I'll have of Bledsoe's career was how he mentored Brady after his near death internal bleeding injury in 2001. Bledsoe 100% mentored Brady. Even after he learned his job was no longer his. That takes a big man.

Brady to this day said he never could have made that jump without all of Bledsoe's help. Look at what Brady has done! And Drew had a stamp on that.

On to Buffalo Losman for whatever reason ticked Drew off. He even took spirited shots at him in leaving. Maybe more miffed that he saw Losman was going to bomb. He never took 1 shot at Brady. In fact praised the kid all over the place.

Romo and Henson are primed to learn from one of the best QB's of this era. I might get killed for that but history looking back on Drew after his Dallas ride will smile on that opinion.

And if we are luck in 2008 when he rides off into the sunset. We have a player ready to step in and make his history!

Nors, this is nice speculation on your part, and let's hope it's true. But for all we really know, Drew could simply clam up and say nothing to the young guns.

I'm pretty sure he's not gonna help arm the kids who are out for his job ...

Nice thought though ...

No - I've done my research. Brady as much vouched how Bledsoe prepped him all season - even after Bledsoe lost his job. Bledsoe went on to win AFC championship game that year - then Brady came back after sprained ankle to win SB.

Bledsoe is a high character guy - he's above that. He easily beat out Henson and Romo and will for as long as he is healthy. He was at Romo's golf outings. Note the backup QB's reactions during the game. They are totally into it and seem to genuinely enjoy watching Drew suceed.

He's mentoring these pups - I stand by that. Go to his website and his dads passion. Raising kids right -

I like this post as well and hope they soak in all they can while Bledsoe is here. I just really enjoy watching a real quarterback play! He stands tuff in the pocket, and as a result, you see the OLine stoning people in pass protection.

You know what? Now that Nors has brought up the subject I bet he does help out our youngins. Bledsoe knows hes running out of time, a year, maybe two more and he kinda owes Parcells.
I doubt he pulls a Favre.

Oline will want to protect this guy.

And WR's will never quit on a play - see the Glenn deep pass late - that was improve on Glenns part...... As a former WR there is nothing you like more than a QB that will take the shots to get a play out. Worse is a QB that tucks and runs like a squirrel

Nors is right. I've seen sideline shots of Bledsoe trying to fire up Brady and telling him all these things. It was like his little brother, and Brady has consistently said that Bledsoe helped him get where he is. The only thing i've ever heard Bledsoe say bad about Brady is that he could beat him easily in a footrace, but hey, the truth is the truth.

Bledsoe didn't like Losman because he's a California pretty boy jerk who thinks he's something. That was his reputation at Tulane and was a knock on him coming out of college.

Bledsoe to this day still goes in full tilt. He dove into endzone head first. Earlier in season layed out head first trying to get the 1st. Tough to a fault.

Loserman should have paid attention to what Bledsoe was doing last year on the sideline....maybe he would have been at least average instead of a complete bum. I will never understand what Buffalo saw in this guy, but I'm glad we benefitted from their ignorance and poor management. I wonder if Matt Leinart is going to like it up there in that cold weather?:laugh2:

Matt will probably land in Chicago unless Arizona decides to start tanking up, which I doubt considering Green is there coaching. :D

We are all set at QB.

Bledsoe can go for a while and Romo the young prospect. Henson is what he is at this point but still a project #3.

Good post Nors, I agree with you here. Bledsoe has proven himself to be a stand up guy. A lot guys would have become very negative in the NE situation but Bledsoe took the high road despite how things were done. When you look at the egos in sports today, this says a lot about the man's character. He has already establised himself as the leader here and the guys are gladly following him. He will certainly share his knowledge with the back ups because he's proven that he's not selfish. I'm really pulling for the guy to get a ring before he's done.

I sure hope that's what happens, Nors....that Romo/Henson pick up somehting from Bledsoe. But I now think if this franchise wants to stay (or get) ahead for tomorrow, we need to bring in another young qb through the draft or trade.

You're right but....as he said "one with him on the field". ;)

I can only imagine how he feels about that ring and that scenario.
