If he stinks it up over there and at camp next year, then we can rightfully cut him.

Don't put hard earned cash on it. I think the team is disillusioned with the results for QBs.

He desperately needs reps against live action, and that ain't happening on Bill's watch.

I trhink they are confused between QBs and baseball players.
But then Jones might be disillusioned. ;)

I don't get the disfavor with athletes being good at other sports. Man, to me the more athletically gifted they are the better.

Whoever messed up Henson's delivery over the summer should be canned. His accuracy was very good last year and I don't recall an inordinate amount of knocked down passes. He threw no ducks and had excellent velocity. I really think they set out and fixed a problem that didn't really exist.

When we signed Bledsoe to be the starter he probably should have gone to Europe to work on picking up on the speed of the game and get some experience.

I really think they've messed up his mind a bit and he doesn't look nearly as confident and poised as he did last year. I think BP and whoever is the QB coach this year has to take the lion's share of the blame for this. I still have high hopes for Henson but he may end up flourishing elsewhere or have to wait for BP to leave.

One thing that really disappoints me is that I am now not sure if we have the future QB on the roster currently - this is something I didn't believe after last preseason.

On the bright side, Romo looks like he could be an okay backup in the league for many years. He'll turnover the ball quite a bit but does provide a spark. His arm strength is not good and he will need to learn to improve his timing to get by. He would fit in well with the WCO given his quick reads and ability to lead the WRs on their routs.

If they are good yes............ I dont watch baseball, I frankley hate it. But from what I hear from fans of the game, not one of our converted guys was good at baseball. Not like that Bo guy. :D

Europe isn't fast enough to help anyone these days.

My boss's son played in High School Allstar games with Q. He said he was good, but a jerk.

Chad Hutchinson made it to the Majors. That isn't easy. Ask anyone who has ever played.

Deion was a weapon.

Henson had skills but struggled with Major League curve balls. He isn't alone. He gave it up to come back to football. I for one am glad he did.

Romo is a good to nearly great golfer.

I respect these things because every day schmos can't do them nearly as well as these men do and did.

Yes, I do the think the baseball knock is often a cheap attack as if all of these players are somehow destined to the same result in terms of success or lack thereof in the NFL.

We all know Henson needs time and work ...I do not see Henson being cut or prematurely expunged from the roster..they will see next year what he has and most people like Kiper ect... thought Henson needed at least 3 years of development before he is ready..that being said..he still has time.

I have seen some development in Henson but also recognize some mental/ recognition issues that still bother him that have hampered his attempts at success thus far in the pre-season. He will get more reps and will learn so the jury is still out and the verdict will still be out too :)

And where are the two who attempted to come in to the NFL as QBs?
Carter probably had the best shot and smoked it.
Hutchinson a back up in Chicago who is now in a panick mode to find another QB.

I simply want a QB fresh from school. Is it guaranteed that they will be the next franchise qb? Nope, but I feel its a better shot. It didnt work the first two tries.

I agree, and also I'm sure it crossed Henson's mind that no matter how good he played he wasn't going to get play for the Yankees because they signed a guy named A-Rod that was moving to third. I know he could have gotten traded or whatever, but ya'll get what I'm saying.

For me it's not a disfavor. I think most professional atheletes excelled at more than one sport.

My problem is the past 2 out of 3 young QB's we brought in to possibly be the future hadn't played football in 3 years. The other one was also a baseball reject but at least he came from college football to the NFL. Although it didn't help him.

I swear we send scouts to baseball games. I just wish they stop trying to get a QB on the cheap.

Henson will not go to NFLE if we plan to use him next year we want him fresh as a starter and you usually dont come back fresh in Europe unless your a backup.

Ever notice how the ones that say the Q never got a fair chance when he was cut are the same ones calling for us to cut Henson?

I would like all of our young QB's to get a chance to develop... the more good prospects we have, the better...

Never noticed. I thought Carter was a waste of time also.

Everyone talks like the time he spent with the Yankees might have forever screwed him up. They say he was a can't miss prospect before and blame everything on his time playing baseball. Can't miss QB prospects miss all the time ask Tim Couch, Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Heath Schuler and Rick Mirer to name a few. The whole baseball thing could be a moot point.
