In the wake of the circus catch made by the young phenom from LSU, I thought it might interesting to pose this question to Cowboy fans:

Who would you rather face with Manning throwing the ball, Bryant or Beckham, if they both played for the Giants?

He reminds me of a hybrid between Desean Jackson and Dez. Blindingly quick with amazing body awareness and hands. He's going to be a thorn in our side for a while...

Dez is still better. Dez is a freak of nature, who has been making plays for years. I wouldn't be surprised if Beckham was a scrub in a few years, similar to Hakeem Nicks.

Dez Bryant. Right after that catch Dez Bryant went up and made a catch in traffic and got drilled by a 215 pound safety and 250 pound linebacker in mid air and held on.

**** Odell Beckham.

Dez. He's bigger and stronger. 6'2, 220 lbs. versus Beckham who is 5'11, 198.

And Dez is more experienced.

Beckham is going to be a great player. That being said, Dez is already a great player with the game winning TD in double coverage. Plus he had that 44 yards taken away.

I just think they're too different, ODB is finesse and Bryant is power

Can't see Beckham ever being a scrub, especially when he gets Cruz back, this dude will be one of the best receivers in the game here shortly.

Different type of WR. Dez is bigger and more powerful, you can throw him those fades with a CB right in his face. Beckham is an explosive route runner. They can both make acrobatic catches but Beckham is only 5'11" so I don't think he'll be making those types of jump ball catches like Dez/Calvin.

It sounds like the crew last night have been effective in convincing everyone that Beckham is the next great thing. Sort of like people did with RG3 and so many more players that made some highlight reel plays.

Being great in this league isn't about a circus play. It's about being able to make plays when other teams game plan against your weaknesses.

I see Beckham as a Steve Smith at most.

Two completely different receivers, but right now I'd take Dez based on experience. Beckham is scary, crazy, unreal good.

I am seeing this as I make the rounds to all my sources this morning. Just thought it interesting for a thought experiment. I did take umbrage with one fellow who posted that he just moved Dez Bryant down from 5th to 6th in lieu of the grab, which I found absolutely hilarious!!! The young lad is good but he ain't Dez Bryant and he won't be anywhere near as physical in the open field. Against the Jaguars he looked lethal. I have followed Beckham Jr. since his LSU days, and you could see his talent but to put him in Canton on one catch is a bit premature I think.

Even as a Cowboys fan I couldn't help but rewatch that catch over, and over, and over, and over again. To say nothing of the way he could get in and out of his cuts/route. Unreal.

I agree...consistency over flash...something the Cowboys have been reluctant to do until maybe recently.

A lot of Cowboy fans are going to let the slobbering last night get to them.

Beckham is the real deal and that's not based off one catch. I live in NY and have watched more of the Giants than anyone should have to, the only WR I would have wanted in the draft was Beckham - and it was a great WR class.

Beckham vs Dez is a silly argument because they're both playmakers, but Beck paired with Dez would be monstrous.

You couldn't help it because they showed it over and over and over and over again.

I couldn't help it because it was the greatest catch I've ever seen, but nice try. Honestly if you can't enjoy a play like that why watch the game.
