I know there's a .000000000001% chance this will happen, but hey, it's fun to imagine! :D

Hell, it would be worth the craze just to see Nors drop dead instantly when he reads the AP news that his hero has just taken over Valley Ranch.

Reasons why it would happen:
  • Parcells will probably wait a while before retiring thus eliminating all the best coaching prospects.
  • Parcells waiting will also let Belichick finish any playoff run this year.
  • Belichick could be looking for a new challenge, especially if he wins a 4th Super Bowl this year!
  • Belichick still has yet to reach a Super Bowl with another team as the head coach, something his "mentor" did.
  • The Cowboys already have Belichick's favorite defense built. Good young defense too. Guys like Roy Williams who can jump right in and replace the role Rodney Harrison fulfilled in New England.
  • An owner in Jerry, who like Kraft, will do anything it takes to win.
  • Is there a better way to strike back at your hated ex-boss by winning a Super Bowl with a team that he couldn't?
  • What Jerry wants, Jerry gets.
  • The Cowboys have enough revenue to make Belichick the highest paid coach in the history of the NFL.
  • Cowboys have enough talent that they can maybe lose a few draft picks for him.
  • Belichick's best assistant coaches have left Boston and more will probably follow.
  • Belichick is a football historian. He would probably tell his friends, "Can you believe I'm sitting in Landry's chair?" Just like Parcells did.

Reasons why it wouldn't happen:
  • Because TBC lives in a fantasy world where the Cowboys ALWAYS hire future Hall of Fame coaches. :D
  • Draft picks.
  • Drew Bledsoe. Belichick knocked him in his book.
  • Jerry Jones. Still that "meddlesome owner" factor that you have to watch out for when you bring in big egos like Belichick.
  • In the middle of a contract. Belichick doesn't seem like the mercenary that Parcells was.
  • Seems like a cold weather guy.
  • Looks like he is loyal to the Pats organization. Seems happy with the Pats, why leave a good thing?
  • Kraft may not give Jerry permission to talk to Belichick.
  • Tom Brady
  • Tom Brady
  • And Tom Brady. Did I mention that he might have one of the best QBs ever? :)

I would prefer a non-member of AARP..........

You'd take a younger coach over Bellichick just because he's old?

Bill Belichek put the Patriots on the map of "dynasty" - he WOULD NOT leave. Kraft WOULD NOT let him leave.
