Not a bad year for the NFL to change this rule considering Dallas may have 3 or 4 comp picks coming. I have a feeling Jerry knew this was coming while we was trading all those late picks away.

I know a lot of guys make a big deal about giving away those late picks, but who cares? They're essentially rookie free agent picks anyway.

But, yes, it is good news that we can trade compensatory picks.

I don't think that the draft ratings have taken a downturn at all.

This enhances the value of playing the game with the compensatory picks. As it stands now, they are static, at the end of the round and are basically a round lower than they say they are.

Allow them to be traded, they increase in value and a team that loses players in free agency can get bang for the buck instead of just a bunch of extra bodies.

It really is a nice change.

But they traded picks and slots for Michael, Cassel, Butler and Swaim.
