I never heard about this but did he really pull his hamstring? Sounds awful convient to me.

Ahh thanks for the info. I'd seen the sports illustrated cover and knew there was that silly hype, and talk, about him making that comeback but I didn't know anything about a race or anything coming out of it.

You can't cheat father time. I'm 38 years old now. When I was 25, I could get up after 3 hours of sleep and a night of drinking and run a half-marathon. Now I have to work my butt off just to do the same, and I can't ever compete with my old times. I can't imagine what it would be like in 10 more years.

He's definitely a unique specimen. He should go play in one of the other leagues, it'd be entertaining anyway...

It wasn't OJ - it was Franco Harris. Brown threatened to come back so Harris wouldn't break his all time rushing record. He didn't respect Harris because Harris ran out of bounds all the time to avoid contact.

There was a prime time, Superstars type competition set up between the two, and in the sprint competition, Brown pulled a hamstring and lost to Harris.
