Excuse me is this is a repost, but I am surprised there has not been a buzz here over Leftwich.

He certainly would be un upgrade over Old Man Brad Johnson.

And if he is too costly, well, what they hey. But bring him in for a look.

Anybody?
Anybody?

I'm not saying he would be a bad backup for the right team but he is the antithesis of Romo (slow release and no mobility) and it would be a tough adjustment for the OLine and WR's from Romo to him.

This Leftwich thing gets better and better.

1. Fat
2. Expensive
3. Coming off an injury
4. Holds the ball too long
5. Proven loser

Yes lets sign him, it would be nice to have a fatter Drew Bledsoe clone around.

Sounds good to me. Leftwich could be a nice aquisition, however, he would definately have to hit the gym and droop a few pounds, get back to around 240 or so and perhaps some extra conditioning to keep his self of the IR. He's proven that he has the tools to succeed at the NFL level, polish all of that rust off, keep him healthy and Byron Leftwich is more than a sufficiant "Back-up Quarterback":starspin.

Why would there be any buzz over Leftwich. He isn't anything special.

And Brad Johnson ISN'T the antithesis of Romo? If Leftwich can be had for the same or close to the same price as Brad Johnson, why not give him a shot.

He would be a good signing if he could just improve in a few areas:

1) Throwing
2) Running
3) Decision making
4) Conditioning
and
5) Personal Hygiene

Other than that, he's great!!!
