Hey guys you know its very scary how humble coach parcells has this team. For as much press as we've been getting with T.O and our other signings and draft picks. All you still hear is how players are trying hard to bounce back or is trying harder than ever to have a great season,(jj, spears, ware, pettiti, canty, and so on. I think that we were pretty good last season and minus the injuries and kicking issues we would've been in the playoffs but if ifs were a fifth we'd all be drunk. But anyway I live in philly and when they signed T.O and THE FREAK they were so cocky all summer about the superbowl and I think that swagger carried them through out the season but poisened the team the next season soon as they started losing. So overall I think the team is taking the proper attitude towards this season a humble hardworking approach like the patriots which leads to champions not the flashy eagles,rams, and seahawk teams that thought their flashy offensive attacks would work and came up short.

Thats just how BP is. He doesn't give much praise and any praise he does give, as little as it may seem is a big deal. He doesn't like his players to get big heads.

That's very true.

He will tear someone down the minute he sees too much cockiness coming out. For everything they do right, he will point out a mistake. That is how he motivates and it is very effective because it actually challenges the player and doesn't view "pretty good" as "great". I think he went away from that style after the 2003 season that probably shocked him, but I think he righted himself last year.

Parcells prefaced last season by saying that 'the Cowboys may be a better team with a worse record'. Hard to argue with that at this point. (sorry, it was the previous year, I blame alcohol)

Even Marvin Lewis doesnt let Chad Johnson take over the team. He lets Chad have his fun and when he feels it is becoming a problem he reels him in. Such as taking away the list of CBs and replacing it with a list of things Chad needed to improve.

Steelers are a prety humble group.
Seahawks are a pretty humble group.
Panthers are a pretty humble group.
etc.

Lots of pretty good coaches out there regardless of where all we rank them in other areas.

I thought it was last season. But benefit of the doubt given, and considering the 10-6 to 6-10 drop, then building back to 9-7 it makes sense. Thanks.

What can you say Parcells is the man. He has humbled this team, and thats the way the Cowboys, and every other team in the NFL should be. I'm tired of hearing players be all about themselves. It sickens me.
