Give someone credit for doing good. Our O Line protected Drew all game long. Rob did a great job! Flo was called for holding because he pancaked his man and no one can believe you can do that without holding.

Our Oline is great!

ya i agree. Rob was excellent. Flozell just manhandled that guy, so thye called holding, even though it obviously wasnt, he got hosed. everyone played good on the OL though

However, since you've got "inside" info--we'd love to hear any insights on what Parcells does do after a loss! How does he handle the team--jumping down their throats or trying to buck them up & motivate them? If Rob talks to you this week, we'd really like to hear any tidbits about how a loss week works compared to a win week. (Obviously without giving away any secret info!)

We played better in pass protection but the run blocking was sub par...

Well, you have to give the skins D some credit. They are great unit and we knew that JJ was going to have a hard row to hoe. The loss came from the mismatch we had on Moss. He just blew by Glenn and Roy, and that was that. The Skin's defense beat us. Plain and simple.

That and Brunell's run 3rd and 27! ARRRGH!

as i posted earlier, rob called me at work at 7:30 et madder than i thought he would be. he said he was up all night unable to sleep because of the loss. he mentioned the coaches were also madder than heck, but am not sure if it's directed at the players or because they lost.

my feeling is this will motivate rob. he sounded like he wanted to play sf this morning. will see if others feel the same way when they go back to practice.

That is great to hear! I hope this game turns into a motivator for them. It may turn out this loss is better than the overconfidence that would have come from a win!

in my opinion, Rob even exceeded my expectations, however I think the coaches lost this game for us, compared to usually the players. too conservative on offense, and not able to make adjustments on Defense is the coaches fault. Although a bad ref call on Flo did ruin our first down which would have been the game also.

The offensive line was very good. They consistently gave Julius and other runners the line of scrimmage, at least. Against a good, tough, physical defense like Washington, that's really all you can ask for. The rest is up to the runners.

And it's so gratifying to see Big Rob coming along like he is. He is as impressive as any rookie in this class, IMO. And that's saying something.

I am just so proud of my nephew. He did a fantastic job despite the loss. Even John Madden said if the draft were held now, Rob would be a 1st rounder for sure. I hope ALL the other teams realize what they could have had in a player. GO ROB!!

This could be what they need. Something to tick them off. Something they can take as an insult and take pride in it not happening again. People want to rip the team, but every unit played at least pretty good last night.

So let's see them come into California ticked off, focused and ready to swiftly and efficiently beat the hell out of the Niners and Raiders.
