14 carries for 86 yards doesn't equal NO running game. Nice story line though.

Don't forget worst head coach in the league as well Tom Jackson.. followed by one of the worst OC....

Yea man, worst head coach in the league :), 6-5, about to be 7-5, leading the division with a defense absolutely ravaged by injuries. You guys are a hoot.

Folks, the only reason the defense looked decent yesterday was because of the wind and Coughlin's inexplicable decision to not run more. They got 10 yards every time they ran it.

Claiborne was repeatedly out of position and had a penchant for taking bad angles. He had a horrible game.

The fact that Tony Sparano got more out of this offense then red Ginger is all you need to know..

I disagree as well, I still don't think are running game is all that good, especially when we really need it... but we do have a running game.

On a related note, Gregg Rosenthal either took a light shot or levied a bit of criticism at Murray on an NFL.com article today:

"DeMarco Murray (126 yards from scrimmage) goes out of bounds way too much. Still, his presence makes a huge difference for the Cowboys' offense."

I agreed with Tom..but..he must not have been watching yesterday? The defense was, except for some big runs, solid. The got a fumble return for a TD and harassed Eli for most of the game.

Someone forgot to tell DeMarco Murry they have no running game. He looked pretty good to me.

Still, he is right. It's funny how the national media is finally starting to see what the intelligent Cowboy fan has known for a long time. Romo is pretty good.

Allowing over 200 yds rushing is not in any way "solid".

Not only this, but I can't stand the way he celebrates after every drop or overthrow to his side ! When he makes the play - fine, but he does it all the time. He was lucky he did not get called for P.I. on one play, but the ball was out in front of the receiver anyway and there he was, acting like he did a great job in stopping the play. I love the Cowboys, but he piss's me off with his antics after each play. Don't know if he still carries a sense of entitlement from his collge days or what it is, but he has not been a good enough player yet to showboat after plays that go his way when he didn't really afect the outcome (Drops, incompletions etc). Like Carter - 1more year to finally get healthy and show what type of player he can really be. But if he plays like this next year or is continuously injured again - cut bait !

If you think giving up 200 yrds rushing is solid, then, well, don't know what to say.

Say good job defense and move on. We don't need the defense to be greatness. If they can play like that every week, we are going to win a lot of games..

There is a difference between Solid and Great.

They didn't play that good. The 11 or more penalties had a lot to do with Giant drives stalling. I'll bet most teams that run for over 200 yrds win the game, unless you have a lot of penalties and turnovers.

I think the injury prone talk is bouncing around in his head. I noticed he will pull up on long runs to the outside, which I really do not have problem with. Before this year and the latest injury he was like Dez not giving an inch and I think that opens him up to injuries.

Giants scored 21 points...Cowboys Defense scored 7..They gave up a net 14 points..

Pretty darn solid..

They should give a gameball to Kevin Gilbride though. The Giants playcalling was atrocious, particularly in the red zone.

Their RBs were averaging almost 7 YPC and Dallas couldn't have stopped them with a gun. Why let Eli throw it 30 times when he was clearly off?
