I would have rather had Eslinger (center) in the 6th and Rod Wright (NG) in the 7th (both available after our picks) than the two nobodys we picked at those positions in the 6th and
7th. The problem is that they did not call and ask me. They must not have me new number.

I'm going to go with Jeff Ireland's analysis over your analysis.

Thanks for the reply ... did you say this on every pick of this draft where anyone had an opposing opinion or are you just trying to .... never mind.

Only reason Wright isn't a nobody to you is because you're probably a UT fan. Stanley fits the 3-4 better, and will be better, mark it.

On Eslinger...

We already have Gurode and Johnson at center. They haven't proven that they are the best options at center, yet. But they ARE interchangeable options at center. Who is the real option behind Ferguson? "Thomas Johnson"? So, if we were to use hindsight, at the 182nd slot was to chose Eslinger at center instead of selecting a viable backup and possible successor to Ferguson in Stanley.

Me? I preferred the Stanley pick over Eslinger at 182.

On Wright...

Even after the Fabini acquisition, we still need better options at right tackle. Is McQuistan a good option? We'll see, but at the 211st slot it was a better decision to go OT than DT. Combine that with the fact that 15 teams passed over Wright after we selected McQuistan AND 12 additional teams passed over him at least TWICE.

Well, I'm okay with the fact that we didn't select Wright. Good luck to him, though.
