It would take the entire division laying an egg for the Cowboys to backdoor into the playoffs as a pretender who quickly gets bounced out.
I remember a time when that wasn't nearly good enough, so that possibility doesn't excite me. You're either a real contender or you're not and the Cowboys are not.
I actually expect all four teams to be better this year.
Washington's offense will be a handful IMO.
NY will be better offensively although the OL still a question. They have worked their DBs and LBs. They could have a pretty good D.
Philly is hard to tell. If McCoy is healthy they are trouble. Esp if you don't have fast LBers and good tackling DBs. Foles will be hard pressed to repeat last year. Pressure creates problems for him. They will be difficult IMO but you never know.
Our offense should be improved. Significantly IMO. If it can repeat last year, run the ball effectively, and do well on 3rd down then they will be all anyone can handle. The D will be a good bit better than last year. My guess is 14 to 22 or so. That may be enough to compete.
Are they SB contenders? Hardly but you can't even rule that out. Playoffs longshot. SB a very longshot.
