Definitely illegal per the rules. I assume they missed it or did not care because either way the game was over.
If it's a personal foul, isn't there a fine?

You could argue Dak left the pocket
Maybe Baldinger's comments about hurting Zeke did rub off on that game winning drive. It should have been a penalty.
ARTICLE 2. ILLEGAL CONTACT WITHIN FIVE YARDS. Within the five-yard zone, if the player who receives the snap remains in the pocket with the ball, a defender may not make original contact in the back of a receiver, nor may he maintain contact after the receiver has moved beyond a point that is even with the defender.

Yes that was an illegal hit and in my mind I'm like where's the flag no defender cannot hit an WR running a route before the ball leaves the QB's hand and it was flag happy Jerome Boger's crew who was seeing every other infraction like that bogus holding call on Yosimite that wiped out a huge 63 yd Elliott run but yet Elliott gets hit in the back in the midst of the play and every ref was blind all of the sudden I'm happy they beat the Beagles.I hadn't even considered that. Now I'm mad. I hope somebody with the Cowboys sends a tape of that to the NFL front office and demands a fine on that defender.
Good to know, thanks for the clarification! It should have been a penalty.

That was a legitimate question. I wasn't being rude to @Irvin88_4life, I was legitimately asking to be directed to the rule that prohibits it, because I wasn't aware it was illegal contact (and even admitted as much). How is it illegal?
Pretty simple. The NFL rule book says it's illegal. That's how it's illegal.

the holding call on TFred when Zeke busted a huge run was worse
absolute horse crap call

That's going to get called every time. I know watching that live, I knew the flag was coming.
Did you guys see what happened to Zeke on the final play of the game? He's out to the left, clearly as a receiver, and #53 from Philly comes over and nails him right in the back sending Zeke face first into the turf just past the line of scrimmage. Is that a legal play? It can't be right? But it was literally right in front of one of the refs and he did nothing, so maybe I'm missing something. It looked dirty to me. Thoughts?
Link, video of final play (Somebody smarter than me feel free to embed video)
Anyone have a video of this play and I will make the final determonation. That's going to get called every time. I know watching that live, I knew the flag was coming.
6:12 - Dak did not leave the pocket, he was still within the pocket and if anything, he stepped up at a chance to scramble, but he was still within the pocket when the shove happened.
