Howley is probably the most glaring omission, but I think he gets forgotten because so few Cowboy fans are old enough to remember watching him play.

This is total nonsense! I'm thankful Cliff Harris finally made it, but for Drew Pearson not to be in the Hall of Fame is just stupid! The man was one of the two best WR's to play the game at that time.

Local radio hosts are debating if the voters thought it would be perceive as Cowboys " bias" if both Cliff Harris and Drew Pearson were voted in at the same time.

I'm awaiting to hear from Rick 'Goose' Gosslein on how this vote process and how Pearson was not selected this time around.

But at least Cowboys did get TWO Cowboys members in HOF this year.
Goose says he will really push for Drew as class of 2021 year to be at top of the list- as he's only All Decade member left out of Hall of Fame.

Ridiculous that Drew was not selected.

The next order of business is to work on Harvey, Charlie, and Chuck getting in.

This comment isn't a fair comment because it ignores the fact that Warfield and Carmichael also had strong careers in decades other than the 1970's.

Complete BS. There are lesser WRs in.

I think Drew and Chuck are really the only hopes in that group. Harvey had the talent, and some huge years, but the drug and other domestic and personal problems limited those years and are a stain on how he is perceived. Charlie Waters really doesn't deserve it. He was a very good player, but got a lot of mileage out of being linked to the tandem of Harris and Waters. Harris was really the stud of that duo. Unfortunately, its hard to see Howley getting in this far after his playing days, but to me he is such an omission that hopefully at some point the HOF and the voters will come to their senses.

At least we got Cliff in! Not just Pearson, but if Cliff is in, now it's time to get Darren Woodson in. Both of these guys were 2 of the most dominant safeties of their decade and on dynasty teams.

So did Pearson. He played into the mid 80's and retired early from the accident.

There’s always hope for Howley in Oldtimers category.

    So happy for Cliff Harris.

    So sad for Drew Pearson.

Pearson was the honorary spokesperson when I made the Texas High School All State team back in 1989, so it personally saddens me to see one of my personal favorite Cowboys still not make the HOF. Pearson is the only player on the 1970s NFL Decade 1st Team still not in the Hall Of Fame. It's not right.

Pearson never made a Pro Bowl or All Pro in the 80's, and his top receiving year in the 80's was 614 yards. Carmichael had a 1,028 yard season and a 815 yard season in the 80's, and essentially also only played through the 1983 season like Drew (he did play 2 games as a Cowboy in 1984, and caught only 1 pass). Warfield was a 3 time Pro Bowler in the 1960's, and had 5 seasons in the 1960's that were better than Drew's best season in the 1980's. As for Drew retiring early because of the car crash, that's true, but in his last season 3 Cowboys had more receiving yardage than he did, so he was about at the end anyway.

Harris over Pearson is no big deal.

    Carmichael over Pearson is ridiculous.

He's been in that category for the last 20 years, and they just put in two guys who played in the 1940s.

The real insult was that Howley didn't even make the list of finalists for the Centennial inductees.

Chuck Howley was so good I tend to just assume he's already in the Hall of Fame.

He was probably the best defensive player on the team every year he played other than Lilly.
