The Giants left in their starters against Buffalo backups just so they can establish something.
But with a compared,Evelyn new system, you can see why they'd do it.

Btw,they were one of the few teams last year to play their established starting Qb in game 1 of the preseason.
So it's not out of character for them.

Oh yeah, nice draft pick for them. Getting RB Williams in the 4th.

Key thing is, would Garrett do what Coughlin did?

Not impressed with the Giants. I do think they will be improved on defense a bit and they have a couple of good backs. But I just don't see a lot of excitement there. The bills are an interesting club, I do like that Thad Lewis kid as well. If Manuel can play and improve they could be a decent team. He really needs to work on his release point though. For such a big guy I'm surprised at how low he releases the ball

All in all, I think this offensive system does not fit Eli Manning at all.

He has actually had his most success with downfield throws. Then again, that is what Gilbride has called for him since day one.

I am fascinated to see how he does.

Eli's strength is his ability to read/process defenses quickly, spot mismatches, and make quick decisions. That's what the WCO is about.

He has 5 YAC receivers at his disposal. In a WCO you need receivers that can get major YAC. Eli has that with Cruz, Randle, Beckham, Jernigan, and Manningham. In a WCO you need a RB that is a reliable receiver out of the backfield. Eli has that in Rashad Jennings, who has EXCELLENT hands.

Even last night, Eli was 6/7 with the 1 incompletion being a drop

This new offense will have Eli completing passes in the high-60%'s easy

They improved on defense tremendously. Last night EJ Manuel didn't even look DRC's way. DRC shut down his side of the field. Manuel kept trying to go after Prince as a result, and Prince kept winning. Thurmond is an absolute beast in the slot - top 3 slot corner in the league.

The Giants secondary is one of the best in football, easy. It's going to be hard for any offense to throw the ball on us with DRC covering the #1, Prince covering the #2, and Thurmond covering the slot. The Giants are also going to blitz a whole lot more with the strong secondary they have.

And yes the Giants OL got beat on the play Eli fumbled, but keep in mind they were facing arguably the best DL in the entire NFL. Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, and Marcel Dareus wreck havoc even against the best OL's in the league.
