Hold on a sec... #2 Seed is NOT out of reach... the Saints STILL have to play two teams in our division. Nothing is a lock.

Revenge against Saints would be sweet. At home would be even sweeter 2nd time around.

It is still possible, but not likely. I expect the Saints to lose maybe one more if that.

Well the saints would have to lose 2 game and the Seahawks have to lose 1 and Dallas will have to win out. Right now Dallas getting back on track is the most important thing. We had our chance for the #2 seed and now that is not very likely now.

Seahawks still have to play San Diego, who still has to win out to get home field throughout the playoffs. New Orleans will probably only lose one more game, though. If Dallas wins out, they might have to go to NO for a rematch in January

Yeah well.... a month and a half ago I said that we would be playing for 1st place(on dec 3) when we were 4-4.... so..... until it DOESNT happen.... we have a great shot.

Furthermore... I expect Saints to have a letdown... we win... then we are tied(in record) then its the team that win 2 of 2 and lets see if Saints can split the last two.

IMO we are no closer or further from the 2 spot as we are from missing the playoffs.

Win the atlanta game and we will win the division and get a home game.
Lose the atlanta game and our season will rest on just getting in if we beat philly.

The best scenario would be if we win and then the giants beat the eagles, assuming we beat the eagles. Now the other side is that beating the falcons and the eagles beating the giants would give us complete control.

The giants play the saints, skins and eagles. If they beat the eagles I think they will drop one of the last two.

Just win saturday and we are fine. If we lose though we will need the eagles to win so we can still win the division.

At this time I could see Dallas making it to the #3 seed but I really think the Saints will get a big boost off of this game and with 2 home games left I think the Super Dome is going to be rocking, Saints fans have never had much to cheer about in their history they do now. Saints have the skins who look poor, that game is in NO. The giants: that could be a loss up in NY depending on which giant team shows up (should the giants lose to Philly that could be enough to cause the giants to implode) and the Panthers back in NO, a panther team who looks as if they are done. I could see the saints lose maybe 1 I really doubt they will lose 2 of the remaining games.

I agree, the one thing about the saints skins game this week is that washington will pound the ball, they will run all three downs. They should have beat the eagles this week but campbell missed a wide open randle el for a touchdown and then threw an incredibly bad pass on a slant to cooley that was 7 the other way.

I think the skins will give the saints all they can handle. THey give up the deep play but I think the saints will not get the opportunity to run that many offensive plays because of the skins pounding the ball.

I actually like washington this week. their style of play is conducive to playing on the road also so I think that wont matter.

NY and philly will be interesting. I can see barber running all day. However the eagles are back to their 03 and 04 form of giving up a ton of yards and then keeping teams out of the endzone when it counts. that is a trait that is a direct reflection and compliment to jimmy johnson.

I am anxious to see how the eagles throw the ball this week. In the last two games garcia has been very good. The giants can get after him pretty good and they should stop the underneath stuff. I think LJ smith and Reggie brown will have good games sunday. The eagles offensive line is good enough that they dont have to mass protect like alot of teams have done against ny. It could turn into a shootout.

If Ny wins though, they may get on another roll and could really help us by bumping the saints the following week.

If we can just win I think we are going to get some help, seeding wise. IF we lose to atlanta and ny wins sunday we are in a world of trouble.

Incredibly bad pass? or pass that should have been caught... I saw that... I thought it was all on receiver

Skins will try and run but should the saints start pouring on the points they can force the skins out of the running game. Believe me I want to see the saints lose to have another shot at the #2 seed but I just think they way they are playing that they will not lose to a team like the skins.

If we lose to Atlanta, we are in a world of trouble regardless of what NY does.

A loss to Atlanta would indicate that this team is not the team we hoped and thought it was and that this season will probably end dismally.

No. IT was up field too far, did not match the route. That throw should go to the backside shoulder if the defender is too the inside. It should have been an easy pitch and catch for a first down.

At worst it should have been low and away where no one could get it, but you can never throw that pass high and in front when the defender has the inside position.

the throw to miss randle el was incredibly bad.

I also think the final time the skins had the ball and got forced to kick the field goal on 2nd down campbell missed cooley and held the ball, would have been 6 and the go ahead.

Yep I understand. But washington can sustain drives with their running game, as bad as they are. They max protect all the time and never go away from the run. It should have been enough to beat philly but campbell blew it sunday.

I think the skins will dictate the tone sunday. You are dead right though if the saints get up early the skins have no chance, but if the skins get a lead and a few stops their running game will drive the saints crazy.

The skins should manhandle new orleans up front, it is just a matter of sustaining the drives and then on defense not giving up the big play.

The Saints could be in for an emotional letdown after the butt-kicking they put on the Cowboys, but Payton and Gibbs know the Skins pretty well from all those years with Dallas.

A Skins win might help the Cowboys, but I just can't bring myself to root for them. It would have helped the Cowboys if they had beaten Philly, but I was glad Philly finally nailed the coffin on the Commanders' season. 8-8 is still a wildcard possibility. I'm glad the Skins are at best a 7-9 team.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Saints lost two of their final three.

That is how I feel also.

I am curious do you feel the same way about this skins game as I do?

Alot of times I have noticed we have the same view points and thoughts.

I think the giants game is a really tough spot for new orleans.

Not out of the question that the saints could have a let down however at home this weekend I don't think they will have a let down aginst the skins. The crowd in NO is going to be jacked up and I don't think the players will have a let down. I hope I'm wrong but I think the saints will smoke the skins this weekend.
