From the DMN training camp blog this morning:
9:07 -- The good folks from the Inspiring Body of Christ are pumping some energy into the place by belting out church songs.

10:50 ... Real, live church songs, but not the boring kind. These were the kind that make you bob your head. ...

I am a Christian, attend church regulary, but singing these church songs at training camp by members of that congregation is rather rude in my opinion.

Now I don't know how loud they were singing, or if the singing was thropughout the practice, but if they were too loud that folks can't focus on whats goin on on the field, than it is definately annoying and has to stop.

Keep that joyful song in your heart so you won't annoy your neighbor.

I'd be pretty annoyed if I was at training camp and had to hear some church choir singing gospel music.

Yup, I agree. Not only that, some may not be Christians and may find them offensive.

I hate to bring up The Tuna again, but this would never have happened if he was still our coach. I wonder if this was during actual practices. They've got enough distractions with Rowdy driving on the field.

There's nothing anyone can do to stop it. It's a public practice. If people want to sing, they can sing - whether it's gospel, rap, or Hail to the Commanders. The best they could do is politely ask these guys to can it. So, Tuna or otherwise, tehse guys could sing.

It is said the hole in the roof at Texas Stadium was so god could watch his team, so why not have a little home grown gospel singing at training camp. :laugh2:

Agreed.

I am all for the entertainment. But timing is CRITICAL!!!

Rowdy and the singing can be entertaining, but only if done at the APPROPRIATE times so as not to be annoying...not when most of us are focused on the action on the field.

I suspect some players were annoyed by this too.

You mean like going to Philly on game day and facing a rowdy crowd? I really don't think the players pay too much attention to this stuff.

But it's ok for them to blast music by Kiss or something that may be offesnive to Christians, right?

As long as YOU'RE not offended.
