TNEw is worth every penny we spent on him. He leads the team in INTs and hasn't allowed a TD this season. If you can respond to Henry is almighty threads after 2 games, why not give TNew his props. Henry was toast today. TNew was outstanding and we are starting to see why teams keep challenging Henry deep. TNew just doesn't let Wrs get open long. I don't expect Henry to play lousy again, but Tnew deserves every piece of praise that Henry got and will get.

He damn near caught LLoyd on the deep pass and was on the other side of the field.

He was also responsible for the Dat game ending INT.

I still wish they would let Newman return punts. Crayton fumbled one today, looks afraid to catch the ball sometimes and doesn't look particularly swift running them back. I think Newman could be an asset back there.

Because he is old and already applying for his ARPP membership.

But I love him on the Cowboys.

Newman's tackling abilities may be one of his best qualities. Henry, who's supposed to be a good tackler must have had crisco on his hands because every guy he tried to tackle slipped right through his hands. Newman is a sure tackler on WRs in front of him, and is great at coming up to support the run. He always seems to be the one cutting the RB on the sweeps.

TNew just won't fully get the credit he deserves.
Thats what perplex me. He has 9 career INts and played last year hurt. Its a mystery why he isn't appreciated by all Boys fans.

Wasn't he responsible for Al Singleton's INT as well? I was only able to listen to the game and it was breaking up on me a lot, but I thought I heard his name on both INTs.

Newman had a great camp and has carried it into the season.

Roy is our best secondary player, he was all over the place today, if you take him out of the secondary you will see a totally different defense, we take him for granted and almost expect him to be amazing every second

The ball was tipped, but Tnew made a heads up play on the Wr trying to catch the deflection. He simply grabbed him and throw him down which isn't PI once the ball is tipped, and Singleton made the INT.

If you take Tnew out of the secondary, how do you think Roy looks now. Teams would game plan him into coverage. You have Henry (toast today) and Glenn (toast last week) as your top 2 Cbs. No sure fire third and teams putting Roy in coverage like last year. Remember that?

tnew will shut down moss and or porter next week. i love tnew man.
I don't know if he'll shut them down, but I do remember Moss only scoring on a comeback route in the endzone on Tnew. He didn't let him get behind him in coverage, so Tnew will hold his own, but Moss will make us pay. He makes plays regardless, we just have to focus on the entire game.
