Hope is eternal

If winning football games is the result of having Q. Williams, the return of Overshown, and the debut of Revel that's not necessarily a bad thing, because it gives us a glimpse of what the defense can be. But, we have zero chance of making the playoffs, short of meteors striking the cities of the 4-5 teams ahead of us for that last playoff spot. Some were hoping that the Eagles would implode and/or start dropping losses based on their equally tough second half schedule. But in back-to-back weeks, they have beaten the Packers and Lions.

Jerry has sold me on hope with these moves. Not necessarily for this year but for next if they continue to rebuild this defense.

Cant wait to see the posts if they pull off the win against the incredible Raiders.

Right before they go 0-3 against PHI, DET, and KC.

Then you will have Rambo posting our draft position weekly. And Rockport leaving the board "because of the haters". Not because he cant stomach how bad this team really is.

The moves made werent for right now, they were for next season. If you cant see that, there is no helping you.

One more loss to an NFC opponent pretty much seals it. Carolina and Chicago are both better than us and hold a tiebreaker. This team isnt winning the division.

The playoff hopes are over. They have been since DAK and the DEFENSE decided to play the way they did against the Brissett led Cardinals.

Yup, the Eagles D has taken over once again, which is why they won the super bowl last season.

Someone this morn was clamouring to me how Hurts was looking so much better. Really? 16 points?

Hell, as a fan what else do I have. No athletic ability, not knowledgeable enough to be a coach, no in-depth study or analysis of the game, not a realist, not a homer. I'm just a fan and as a fan of the Dallas Cowboys there is not one season that goes by that I don't hope for the very best for my football team :starspin:
What if the best is to lose out and get an absolute stud in the draft? What if Anthony Hill JR is the next Ray Lewis and we can only get him by losing?

It absolutely is!!!

Wait....I thought he said Hokey, never mind.

We'll beat the Raiders, No Names, and the Giants. Obviously miss the playoffs, but the last three wins post trade will be what Jerry points to as hope moving forward, and then do nothing in the offseason once again.

Do you free base the hopium? Inject it directly to the vein, snore it, or something else?

We're so much closer to going 1-7 rather than the 7-1 or 8-0 needed for the playoffs.
Its actually 8-0. And that might not even be enough.

They have lost the division already and have lost to 2 teams that are looking to go to the playoffs. I still remember all the fans on here saying "What has Ben Johnson done". Then we played Chicago. Have they lost a game since? Honest question because I dont know.

This season is over. Anyone who thinks different needs to check themselves into a facility for the rest of the season.

I'm more interested in tonight's game. I'm curious to see how our defence looks with the new additions. I know it's the Raiders, but I would expect our defence to be better. I'm curious to see how they handle Jeanty and Geno. I'm excited to watch Q make his debut tonight with us. I think tonight will tell us more about the future than the rest of this season, but it'll be good Intel. It'll be good to get some of our returning players some reps. I think the rest of this season, if we can't make the playoffs, should be about seeing what we have going into 2026.

The Giants? You mean the team that took a 64 yd FG just to tie it? The team that beat the Eagles by 17? The team that lost by 1 to DEN, 7 to GB, 4 to CHI, and 3 to us? Why are we writing that in as a win?
