They’re the 3rd youngest team in the NFL so they already have been seeing what they’ve got. So far, it’s not been good on the defensive side obviously.

I agree, but the reps should help to see how the players develop and if we need a new DC. If we do, then we will get a chance to see what DC would best serve the players. Either way, we have nothing to lose the way I see it, as long as everyone stays healthy.
 
Back to the topic. I think it will take 10 wins to make the playoffs in the NFC this year. We would need to go 7-1 the rest of the way to get to 10 wins so that is why I say there is just no chance. IMO there is a better chance that we win the SB IF we get in than we get in the playoffs in the first place, because if we go 7-1 down the stretch knowing the teams we play the rest of the way that would mean we can beat anyone and will be the hottest team in the league. It's nice to think that is going to happen, but...

Honestly, it might need a bit more with how good the NFC is, and Chicago has the tiebreaker on us if it comes down to a push for them.

He has them whinin', cryin', and blaming EVERYONE except him and the team.

I've never seen a loser/victim mentality so easily be pollinated onto a mass of people.

And it's not like Jerry is some master people manipulator: he's a gross, wrinkly, creepy old man who is easily bested by all the other GMs. Yet the sheep still fall for it...every year. Every decade.

That’s a good thing for obvious reasons. If they can improve to middle of the pack defensively, then I think the Cowboys can finish 10-7. There’s a good chance that will get you into the playoffs. Revel will need time to figure out the speed of the NFL so I think they’ll take it slow with him. Overshown is going to be Overshown and is going to be a force to deal with. Williams, Clark and Osa should help out in stopping the run better than the defense has been able to do thus far. Wilson should help out the LB crew and be the veteran leader they sorely need in the middle. The improvements up front and in the middle should help out the secondary and limit some of those huge chunk plays teams have been getting.

The offense will benefit from an improved defense as well. Maybe they won’t be playing from behind 10 or more points as often. That will enable them to become more balanced as an offense instead of 1 dimensional in which teams can just T off on the passing game.

There’s hope for this team. You just have to believe.

I stand with my original prediction. 5 wins the only difference is I had them beating the Giants. Not sure about that after watching Dak against the Cardinals. The only two wins I can seem them getting are the Raiders and Commanders.

With Philthy winning the last 2 games vs GB and Detroit, i think the playoffs are a gonner, however there is hope to see the defense come together down the stretch and see the line gel as they play together for a few games again. A hope that the HC gets them playing something that resembles NFL football in the second half so there is at least some hope for 2026. Would like to see Mafa at some point.
 
It will take a miracle for Dallas to make the playoffs.
We seen it happen before with other teams.

Heck they were 3-7 in 1990, and went on a 4 game win streak. Needed 1 win to make the playoffs. But Aikman was injured. And Laufenberg at QB. Lost both games.

But I just can't see this team making that kind of run at this point. Even if they look good against LV. I just can't see it. I will not get, or try not to get too hyped up over it.
Beat Philly, KC, Detroit after that. Then let's discuss the situation then.

The Raiders stink - beating them won't prove much, if they do manage to accomplish it. If they don't, no surprise.
