Hoping Dez doesn't play

I am huge fan of him but this is not a must win for us. Don't get me wrong I would love to win this game, but it's not worth him risking anything. Especially because we have a bye week next week and the Philadelphia eagles game is more important to us than the Packers. He can get his revenge in the playoffs. Plus Dak doesn't favor him like Romo does. What does everyone else think?

the revenge factor is way overblown imo, we're 2 years removed from that debacle and technically it should've happened last year (but with his injury and QB turnstile it didn't happen)

part of me wants to see him out there if anything just to be a decoy, but the other part agrees he should rest until after the bye week, it won't bother me one way or the other.

would love to see Dak and Dez start building a good chemistry though

If it's simply pain tolerance, and purely pain tolerance, he absolutely needs to play. This is our redemption game for getting 2014 stolen from us. And especially stolen from Dez.

I adore Dez, but if there's no risk to further injury, he needs to buckle up and get in there and help our rook out. Play through the pain. He says he can cut fine with no pain but his forward (straight line) sprinting are what hurts.

But that's just me, I understand your concern, Moose.

I think Dez plays when he's fully recovered/ready. Dak's play without him justifies that decision. If Dez plays, we're undoubtedly a better team. He opens things up for everyone else in the passing game and he's a good edge blocker on outside runs. Helps us in the red zone too.

If Green Bay plays him straight up with their backup CBs, he goes off like he did in Washington. If they double him, Beasley and Williams will beat single coverage consistently and Dak will find them.

We have proven somewhat that we don't need Dez but I want Dez to play every week.

What alternate reality do some of you live in?

This is an NFC team they need to beat those teams.

If he can go you dress him and limit him. Yea real great idea not to have one of your best players to play. lol This board is getting worse by the year

Okay Mr. Overreact Much. ;) :)

But what will he be wearing? I'm afraid that if his shirt tail comes undone it might offend some of our more delicate flowers. He should probably sit out so he doesn't become a distraction to his team.

I think if Dez is medically cleared and feels he is ready then he should play. You have 11 games left in the reg season each win puts them closer to the goal. if medical staff feels he would be at risk then hold him out. Thing is none of us know the extent of the injury or how he is today as opposed to when he 1st got injured.

I don't want to put any player at greater risk on the other hand the football season moves quickly and these players are here to play and win games.

If he is cleared to play, play him. Even if it is limited a little bit.
What is 2 more weeks of rest going to do. If it is healed but a pain / soreness deal, and he plays. guess what...he still has 2 more weeks to let that soreness go away.

Players are sore after evevery game, and they get a week to heal...so now Dez and the rest will get 2 weeks.

Play him.

If he isn't 100% he should sit. He isn't needed for the offense to be insanely good. May as well let him rest until fully healed.
