Hoping McBriar Shows up Tonight

My feeling is that tonight's game will be a struggle for awhile, but that if we take care of the ball and don't give the Skins any gifts of field position, we'll eventually pull away in the 2nd half...at least to something more comfortable than a FG.

However, Mat McBriar could and should be a big part of that...we need the All-Pro punter of preseason to show up tonight and pound the ball consistantly during the early stages of the game when the respectable Commanders' defense will be doing it's best to keep the game close and hoping we make a mistake.

McBriar backslid to "nothing special" during the first game with San Diego. Tonight, he needs to step up and be a difference maker.

Honestly, here's to hoping McBriar doesn't see the field!

hahaha...that would be beautiful, but don't count on it. The Skins have a defense, if little else, and we can't afford to play loose with the ball and help their anemic offense...there will be punting aplenty, and McBriar needs to boom those 50 yarders instead of the 35 yard variety.

I think Washington is a dangerous team. Their 9-7 victory was an illusion ... they racked up some serious yards, but it was credit to the Bear's D which kept the Skins out of the endzone. It wasn't the inability of the Skins O.

Bears held Detroit to 6 points yesterday. They have a solid D.

Washington has some guns as well as a solid D. We sleep, we lose.
