How about a little love for DMC

This guy has been a workhorse for this team the last 3 games. What 3 straight games with over 20 carries for the first time in his career? He hasn't had many "wow" plays, but he runs hard and picks up those dirty yards. There was a play last night where he got 9 yards after spinning and pushing backwards and I thought that was just a solid play.

Anyways I know a lot of fans were down on the signing but so far he has been a very solid player sucks that this defense can't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag.

DMC has my respect. Good player. I wasn't expecting this.

Am I the only one worried about his workload?

I think he is doing a Hell of a job. So much for seeing c. michaels help him, the coaches must not like him plus we are going to give up a draft pick to. Excellent decisions

As one of the biggest and most vocal critics when they signed him, I will gladly give credit where credit is due. McFadden has been playing his tail off lately, and he's doing everything he can to help this team win.

It's a shame that his great efforts are being wasted by other areas of the team not holding up their end of the bargain.

Really nice job the last few weeks. He did miss a couple of holes last night that I think would have been big plays but he's done more than I expected at this point, especially after he got off to a slow start and I was figuring he was really just a bust.

It spoke volumes to me how little I saw of Christine Michael (not at all in fact).

The team obviously doesn't trust him enough to play him, either that, or he's managed to put himself firmly in the coaches' dog house to the point of not seeing the field. Either way, not good.

It has me wondering if we've already fulfilled the terms of the Seattle trade or not?

And, if not, if it's not better to outright cut a guy you obviously don't want?

Unfortunately, I don't think you need to worry about his workload. One more L, and we might as well let Rod Smith and Trey Williams carry the ball.

I think it's coming once Trey Williams is up to speed

He actually is trying, which is nice. I guess.

Does it pain you to rarely, if at all, to say anything positive about this team or player.
I guess you were trying to make a compliment, can't ever tell.

McFadden has been terrific. Even last week when there wasn't much there last week he gave us every yard he could. I don't know how much he has left in the tank, but you gotta give it to him. He's ran as hard as you can run. Gotten the dirty yards DeMarco did a season ago. He's exploded through holes when they've been there. He's been disciplined in following them. Not trying to unnecessarily bounce outside of try to make a home run play. Been a reliable reciever. Excellent in pass protection. All this with two scrub quarterbacks who won't be in the league next year.

I would like to see those two get involved, but another loss won't change anything. They still need to see how McFadden performs and to stay healthy. As to evaluate what to do in the off season.

DMC has been doing some serious work. I never imagined that he would run the way he has.

Having said all that, he would be better served as the second option next season to a very high pick in the draft. I don't think it is realistic for him to hold up sixteen games with this type of workload.

Yeah, we're playing with fire giving him so many carries. On the one hand, it's justified. He's playing best, and our offense obviously runs better with him in the backfield. On the other hand, he's Darren McFadden. We know the hamstring, ankle or something is right around the corner.

If DMC can remain healthy, he can do everything that Murray could, IMO.

I second this statement... In fact if he continues to play well I think it allows us to draft a LB DT in the first and second round as we won't have a pressing need to try and find a RB right away. He's only 28 and probably has a solid 4 years left in the tank

He seems to have figured out what it takes to keep those hammy's in good shape. So maybe our conditioning staff is paying off big with him. It's obvious this guy is super talented

I don't think anyone doubted that he could get 4 yards a carry. Can he take 20 carries a game for a whole season?

Most in here will still say we need Murray back or another back. The problem here with this team ain't the running game.
