zimmer would be no better than garrett or campo here.

Jerry would never view him as a big time coach and would walk all over him.

The question is why? I don't dislike him, but ultimately his results in Minnesota have pretty much been up and down since he got there.
He's no nonsense, and he can flat coach some defense.

Plus, he knows the deal with what it is to coach here with the Clampetts in charge.

He can flat coach some defense? Really? Did you sleep through the years he was the D-coordinator here? He was the defensive version of Linehan.

Maybe he can coach other places. But certainly not in Dallas. GROZ.....

I would love to see this happen. A hard nosed defensive coach that has a history in Dallas. Is a link to the last Super Bowl team we had in the 90s. He also learned a lot during his time under Bill Parcells. From what I understand, he’s very close to the Stephen, Jerry, and the Jones family and still goes hunting with them on some of Jerry’s property. Would be a no-brainer if Minnesota was stupid enough to let him go. 1 year left on his deal. Thoughts?

Very overrated. No fundamental understanding of the game.

Just remember how he never got a grasp of the 3-4. Just a one track specialist.

Dont like him at all.

Him either. I can’t even believe fans would want any of those guys. Hard for me to fathom.
They might be better, but if so, I think only incrementally so. My hopes go beyond an incremental difference.

and zimmer a horrible idea
Thought you liked Zimmer?

like who?
My first calls would be Lincoln Riley, Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, and Josh McDaniels before I'd inquire about a coach that is going to cost us valuable assets.

Payton is the dream, but the Saints are going to take us to the cleaners in a trade.

Apparently every single coach who might be available sucks and is no better than Garrett.

I think I've been persuaded. Any other available coach either 1) wouldn't be any better, or 2) could never succeed under Jerry anyway.

Just give Jason that five year extension and be done with it.

Really? Who ever said that?
Many here want Urban Meyer who is available and who said he would certainly consider the job.

If this era has proved anything, young coordinators are worth looking at. McDermott and McVay are examples of this.
