How about Mike Ditka to replace the Ginger Clapper? He played for Dallas, winning a Super Bowl and was an asst under Landry.

Dick Vermeil? He won a SB.

Don Shula's a lil old but won 2 SB's.

Or, how about George Seifert? He won a SB.

Tom Flores? He won it all under Al Davis so he could prob function under Jerry.

Actually, hiring Whisenhunt as the next head coach would be a great move, IMO. Built a winner in Arizona, has a proven track record of turning struggling QB's around (Warner, Rivers with SD this year). Tough, no nonsense guy with experience and connections throughout the league.

We could do much, much worse.

I'd be okay with that, I think. He sure got run out of Arizona pretty quickly after that SB appearance, though. Of course, not having a QB will do that to you.

Do you have a suggestion? Please don't say Garrett. His three year plan that consisted of the RKGs stacking good days on top of good days has run it's course. It it part if the process and the process has produced zilch.

If Jerry would step down as GM, I'd be all for him hiring Cowher as the head coach. If Jerry stays on as GM, then it still wouldn't matter whom he hires. I'd love seeing Cowhers scowl on the sidelines wearing the star.
