You hear about the Irvins and other players from the 90s being embraced by Phlllips, and how appreciative they are for that (new) opportunity, but how about Lee Roy Jordan addressing the team today? I think that's great. Especially hearing Wade talk about how Lee Roy used the pronoun "we" in talking about the Cowboys.

It was also cool to hear how much Wade looked up to Lee Roy, as somone who played LB himself.

And speaking of how hard or easy Wade's camp has been, I wonder how many people knew that his dad coached for Bear Bryant at Alabama? So Bum knows all about hellish training camps, and you can bet he gave his son plenty of advice in that area.

Where'd you hear about this?

I haven't seen anything on it, but I love the idea and we should get all of them in there to meet the team.

Wade mentioned it during the PC today.

Yep... Said he was part of the "extended family" and wanted "one of us" to talk to the team, considering what a great player he was, winning a National Championship and of course a Super Bowl. Wade said he wanted to continue to build a linkage to the great history of this franchise, and that all the old players are always welcome.

Brad Sham said Lee Roy told him it really meant a lot to him to be asked, too.

Adding this... Here's some video of Laufenberg talking about it, plus some other videos from the last several days.

I'm praying that the "family" moved, and didn't leave a forwarding address, when it comes to the Hambricks!

Lee Roy Jordan has long been one of, if not my favorite Cowboy.

I played the same position as him and wore 55 because of him.

Simply one of the greats. glad to hear he is still in touch with the team.

Lee Roy Jordon...talking to the Cowboys! This is sweet!

I wish all the "extended family" would show up and teach these new players all about being a champion!

Thanks, Lee Roy...you were a beast!
