Gabbert is last in the league in yards per attempt and completion percentage.

I'd like to think this isn't a must win game. One could argue each week is a must win.

Sitting at 2-1 I'd argue it isn't except for the upcoming schedule.

How nice to even expect to win with a backup QB who we now have confidence in and building momentum with.

3-1 will build more momentum and confidence heading home for what should be our toughest opponent this year.

It's not must win, with Tony coming back in a few weeks. But it's very important. 3-1 is a much, much better place to be than 2-2.

I'm really scared about this game, for some reason. Chip is always a wildcard and could have some new things to break out. I expect a solid 7+ point win, but I wouldn't be shocked by a very close game either.

I don't know if I'd classify this game as a must win, I just think it's a game the Cowboys should win, SF isn't very good football team and with Dallas being familiar with Kelly's offense, nothing SF does should surprise Dallas but again our head coach isn't the best either....

I certainly regard the San Francisco game as a must win -- the following weeks will have somewhat more dangerous teams to contend with, so winning that one would be highly advantageous to the 1st half of our season in terms of wins. With our defense being what it is, we'll need every single win we can muster this year. Good luck in San Fran, Cowboys -- go get 'em!

I know it's early in the season, but this is a big game. If the Cowboys want to be a playoff team, they absolutely HAVE to beat teams like the niners and the bears. Bank some wins against inferior opponents so losing a game here and there against the tough teams won't mean the end of their season.

Lots of run blitzes is the key. The way to beat Chip's run game is to get pressure quickly at the point of the hand off.

Good points, but I think this goes like the Bears game. 30+ and the defense gives up less than 20.
